Default Scion xB sports pedal....does it go over the standard one ?

Hi...maybe this is a strange question for you guys that are used to modify cars, but I'm new to this and having fun with it. I saw the silver sports pedal (Scion.com) and would like to know if they are easy to install...do they go over the stock ones ?

Don't waste your money with the pedals from the dealer; they are crap. Get a set of RAZO or the like.

Yes, it slips over the accelerator pedal. The brake (and clutch if you have one) are replaced by the new ones. Look around, you should be able to pick them up cheap. I have the silver ones and like them. Good luck.

Oh, and yes, with a little soapy water, are easy to install.

Hey, thanks 1epoXyBox, it really looks nice, the picture helps a lot. I have an automatic. I just bought it at ebay a few minutes ago....$37.50 OBX silver sports pedal, same as yours. It seems that the accelerator is just a slip and the brake I'll have to do some assembling, is it easy ?

Its a little effort to get it on there. At first glance, it seems it wont fit. The important thing is using soapy water. That will help you slide the pedal over the existing one. Try to get your finger behind the rubber edges as you put in on. The rubber edges will kind of snap over the existing pedal. You will be able to feel it.

The brake is a little easier. Just take the rubber pad off, and use the same method as the accelerator to get the new one on. I grabbed the picture below from this site to help you visualize it.

I think that the pedals may have been my first mod too. Make sure to check out the Tech section under Features. There are some really good do-it-yourself (DIY) projects that you may want to try. The air filter is a great one. Good luck!

I got the blue ones from the dealer and have had no problems with them, the dealer even put them on for free. Why should I do it when they will? ;)

They look great and I'm 100% satisfyed.
