Default a DIFFERENT wiper issue

So I did a search and nothing I could find could help me with the situation I currently have with my wipers. But if I'm just dumb and didn't read into it all correctly, feel free to close the thread.

Earlier today, I took the hose to my car to rinse off a bit of road salt and dirt that was on my car. About an hour and a half later I get outside to start my car up for work and some ice accumulated on my windshield. I turn on my wipers, and the driver side wiper just doesn't move at all, while the passenger side moves freely. When I got to work, I tried to adjust my wipers to the "upper" setting, but the driver side still didn't budge when I turned the wipers on. I was in a hurry to get to the office, so at this time I have it narrowed down to two possible issues:

1 - Water might've frozen into the nut that holds the wiper arm in place, therefore not making it move at all.
2 - I probably didn't set the wipers correctly. Does anyone have any pictures for the proper settings for how the wipers are supposed to be seated? I searched, but the threads I found only had broken links to pictures.

If you need me to go into further detail, let me know. Thanks.

Figured it out myself now that I had time to check it out.

Somehow, the nut holding the wiper down somehow loosened. Had to re-tighten and re-torque it.

i'd check the nut holding the wiper down to be certain it wasn't loosened somehow.

I'd say that something froze.
