The stock S-pipe is the most restrictive part of the tC's exhaust.. it has proven to give small hp gains and really haven't heard too many or any problems. The damper kit is getting pretty good reviews and will increase your off the line acceleration and reduce wheel-hop. This is what I've gathered. I just ordered my engine damper.

I went with the Ingalls damper.. the WR I heard was having issues and everyone has said good things thus far about Ingalls I got it from this link.

I am so ready to get this on.. my car feels so much better now that its fixed and the new clutch. Should be a great addition.

The motor mounts coming out are an even better option than the dampener.... but it's still up for grabs whether or not they'll transfer too much vibration into the car...

But, mounts are a better option to fix the real problem... the cause of all the engine movement is REALLY flexible motor mounts.... stiffening them up is the key. The dampener only addresses the resulting problem of movement, rather than the cause of the problem... the mounts.

But replacing the mounts is a bit more of a job, I am guessing?

Mounts are usually under 50$ but they are a pain in the **** to put in. A couple hours and you need to know what you are doing.... Mounts help (especially over the soft oem ones) and inconjuntion to the damper is a really good "tag team"... I highly recommend both! Damper installation is on the level of like doing a cai..Plus you have keons dyi for help on the damper install...
