View Full Version : I want the Blitz SC.... gnar-de-gwar 12-20-2005, 03:59 AM yeah, what the title said....but is it REALLY a complete kit? or do I need to make additional purchases? mikochu 12-20-2005, 04:29 AM I'm in the market for a Blitz S/C...or some other comparable F/I setup as well. Right off the bat, you should be good to go with the US retail Blitz Compressor kit. But sooner or later, you'll need a new clutch/pressure plate..and you might as well get a lightened fly wheel. Other things...injectors? LSD? :D gnar-de-gwar 12-20-2005, 04:37 AM Yeah, for sure, a new clutch/pressure plate/flywheel!! I'm also wondering what I'll be getting myself into.... mikochu 12-20-2005, 04:48 AM Well, I probably won't buy into F/I until I have at least 150% of the funds. That means I won't have it for a couple of months or so... Also, I'll be doing the installation myself. The Blitz setup seems pretty cut n' dry... gnar-de-gwar 12-20-2005, 04:59 AM yeah, I'll be doing it myself aswell. But still...as much as I want it...i want to make sure that I am not going to be getting myself into a maintenance nightmare hip_2b_sqr 12-20-2005, 08:28 PM Mike, locally I got my Blitz SC from Titan Motorsports. They have a polishing service available also for all the alum. pieces that can be buffed out. Mine is in, but have to wait until first week of Jan. for install. must wait, must wait, must... Baine 12-28-2005, 05:13 PM I thought about getting mine polished but I powder coated the loose parts yellow to match the car instead. My install has been delayed because my mechanic's wife just had a baby and they are both a little tied up with that. I bought mine from http://www.istoreparts.com/blitz-compressor-system-scion-0307-xaxb-manual-p-13283.html They had the best price I could find. hotbox05 12-30-2005, 12:06 AM just upgrade your clutch and you're ready. MyBoX 12-30-2005, 03:00 AM So what the options are as far as the clutch upgrade goes !! hotbox05 12-30-2005, 11:00 AM ha ha ha . many. spec , act , exedy then each brand has . oem , street , race. and the race come in 3 puck , 4 puck , 6 puck's. i'd go with a heavy duty pressure plate and a super street or stage 1. as long as it's spring loaded hub you'll be good. you aren't bracket racing. hip_2b_sqr 01-02-2006, 12:49 PM Does anyone have the Blits SC instructions in english? mine came in japanese. Xbilly 01-04-2006, 09:51 PM hip-2b-sqr, you are in luck! I have them courtesy of the guys at AUTORnD.com They slaved over a hot scanner for days to make me a copy of thiers. Not to mention all of their efforts in emailing them to me. Be sure to ceck out their site and find them on here(SL) and thank them! pm me to get them. Xbilly 01-04-2006, 09:52 PM You guys should look into the greddy sc kit, the plug n play pretuned emanage is a major plus that kit has over others right now. killerxromances 01-04-2006, 10:32 PM ^ ^ Agree'd. Greddy s/c produces 130whp on manual trans and bbist has two left selling for under $3,000. Also, you may want to wait because ZPI will be comming out with turbo kits probably before summer for the xb and from what i've been hearing. It will be much worth the wait. gnar-de-gwar 01-05-2006, 09:40 AM question is....will it fit in the xA engine bay too? killerxromances 01-05-2006, 11:16 AM question is....will it fit in the xA engine bay too? Yes. Peter_Rabbit 01-05-2006, 12:36 PM is the Greddy kit the US version? Scionide77 01-05-2006, 09:20 PM I heard that the Blitz only gives you like 25% more hp. where as the Greddy gives you about 40% to 45%. i dont know which one will last longer though on my engine. but as for the look of it i like the way the blitz one looks over the greddy. killerxromances 01-05-2006, 09:23 PM I heard that the Blitz only gives you like 25% more hp. where as the Greddy gives you about 40% to 45%. i dont know which one will last longer though on my engine. but as for the look of it i like the way the blitz one looks over the greddy. Both will last the same providing you prep the motor for boost. em-de-em 01-05-2006, 10:40 PM Any links to the Greddy SC kit?
