Default SUB is IN! W/ Pics!

for the very few of you that have asked about my sub set up, i finally got it in the other day!!

heres wut the system entails...

A brand new reverse mounted audiobahn natural sound 12" 1251SE as in SPECIAL EDITION 800W max 400rms

Amp is a BOSS Audio Riot 850w 425rms

custom designed box (by me) built by wood worker friend.
box fits perfectly inside the hatch with a cut out so that it can tuck away in the corner over that strut bump. It is also made to fit between the driverside rear seat so that it may still be able to fold down. The box is made to all audiobahn specs, bein the reason why it sounds so friggin amazing.

4 gauge 850w power wire

stock head unit with RCA outs

teaser pik till i get a pic of the sytem... (proves i designd the thing) basically i knew it was going to sound amazing before it even existed

ok i considered many many many details when puting together this kit. for example the reason the sub is angled as it is is so that it resonates off the hatch so that it amplifies the sound, and let me tell you it works.

notice how it fits perfectly between the seats

and can someone guess were the amp is?...

yeah im already workin on that tint and thers actually plenty of space back there. you cant really tell from any of the pictures but there is.

This pic here shows a lil better how much space there is, but once again the camera is pointing to the right so u still cant really see it.

ok part of the reason the sub box has that distinct shape is so that it would kinda act as a shelf. I didnt want to make it like a big box because you wouldnt be able to put stuff ontop of it, so really its not too bad at all.

how does it hit?... haha... my friend with 4 12"s was impressed. you have to yell just to be heard over the bass when its turnd up. U know how the stock speakers can get the side view mirrors to shake cuz ther on the door rite, well the sub gets the fukin rear view mirror thats bolted in there shakin like crazy, and everything gets blury everytime the sub hits. Deffinately better than my friend with the 2 10's...

Wow... That scares me theft wise....

Doesn't look like the cover works with it.... How do you plan on hiding that thing from the opportunistic?

yeah the tip of the sub sticks out just enough so that the cover doesnt wanna clip on so i dont use it anymore. The fix is simply 5% tint.
the car is never really in any un supervised places were some kinda funny business like that mite happen. I live in a gated neigborhood so its completely safe probly 5 nites a week

^^ that good to hear. but man, if my sub was 4inches away from my rear window, that thing would crack in a second.

Those windows take a LOT to start a crack just from bass...like 160 dB + I have an 18 off 1.2kW firing straight into the window, about 1/2" under the cover...it's fine...the ice is loud though

haha....yeah....there's got to be A LOT of pressure to break a window..... it's possible to flex windows a shade without breaking them....but even then it takes a TON of pressure.....

Perhaps a 13w7 in a wall with about 5,000 watt burps would be capable....
