it depends on the tire compound( or made of)

i just installed my low profile rims/tires and the fuys at ATC told me that i should rotate them more often, because of the low profile, but that was the only adjustment.

just like any other tire, it depends on the treadwear rating thats on the tire. i have pirelli's and they have a really high rating, so they will last longer, but have a stiffer ride.

if your camber and alignment are right. They will last just as long. If you lower it and don't have your camber adjusted the tires will wear quickly on the inside and the road noise will be louder.

i'm getting the 18" trd rims. but i don't know what kind of rating the tires carry.

tire choices are tricky...especially if u're referring to treadwear.

i've had Falken, Dunlop, Goodyear, and now Nitto. .. of course each brand carries differnt types of tread and wear specs according to tire model.

If you want great performance but with enough dail driving capability...try Nitto Extreme NT450. I've had them for 20k miles already...and i hardly see any wear on the tread. ... high performance tires usually wear faster in my opinion
