Try Tanabe Sustec Like me or the DC Sports... SCIONyd_tC 12-25-2005, 01:09 AM trdsparks.com has em - only place i have seen 05FMtC 12-25-2005, 03:22 AM is it the hotchkis rebadged? i think i am going to get it when i get my trd shocks and springs just b/c its TRD. yes i am addicted ti TRD parts. theSciontologist 12-25-2005, 07:28 AM i like 05fmtc cause i have mostly TRD parts planned for my car and i kind of wanted it to be like that. iono its just me. maybe ill get the hotchiks. how long is the install and can i do it myself with the right tools? 05FMtC 12-25-2005, 08:30 AM yea u can def do it your self, im going to do all 3 at the same time (springs, shocks and strut bar) since to do one u have to do somthing to one of the others. like to install springs u have to take spring off of stock shock so replace it w/ trd and to take whole shock assembly out u have to remove wiper cowl and undo strut tower bolts and thats where the strut bar goes. i think that trd products just give it another feeling, knowing that you have the R&D and the warrenty to back everything up is nice. WeDriveScions 12-25-2005, 05:26 PM You definately don't have to remove the wiper cowl to do either install... you just need an open end wrench to get that last bolt.... it's a little tight, but saves some time not taking that whole assembly off.... And doing the strut bar is pretty easy, but you should use a torque wrench to torque the strut tower bolts down correctly theSciontologist 12-25-2005, 05:46 PM so i just need to undo some bolts and put it on? hrm. i see. so trdsparks is the only place that sells it? is the a DIY somewhere? delioninsyd 12-25-2005, 05:53 PM my setup is by far the best I have seen. I have trd struts with hotchkis springs. I actually have the whole TVS 1 kit from hotchkis as well as the rear camber links. Sparks hooked me up but if your planning on doing the install yourself, at least for the hotchkis TVS kit you need to be some what Mechanically incline. First timmers dont even think about it. WeDriveScions 12-25-2005, 09:31 PM For a strut setup, all you have to do is undo the three nuts on top of the strut towers, put the bar on, and then retorque the nuts back down.... it's a bit of a squeeze for the rear nut, but nothing to stop anybody... you just need an open end wrench and lifting up the car a little can help by pulling the strut setup down a bit so you can get the nut started. theSciontologist 12-25-2005, 10:13 PM hmm thanks again. haha i think stylis is installig it with my springs =D so im good. thanks tho wedrivescions. haha for everything tikbhoy 12-25-2005, 10:42 PM Please go with another brand....
