Just the other day went to North County Toyota in Anaheim to get one of my free oil changes. Went into the parts department just to see what they had. I looked up at the wall and there is a TRD Strutbar hanging. I told the guy behind the desk I want to buy that. Gave him a $50.00 gift card I got in the mail and paid the difference.

Today was also a good day, other than having a day off I installed the strutbar. It looks awesome. I'll talk pictures once I get a hold of my girlfriends digital camera.

Question for all you, Am I going to feel any difference in how it rides?? What should I be aware of?

Thanks

why don't you go drive the car and tell us if you feel a difference lol./...

how would we know if you will feel a difference?

I did take my car out for a drive and didn't notice anything even with sharp turns.

Is it suppose to make it stiffer, sturdy

Yes, but the flex it protects against isn't exactly noticable anyway. Most people aren't going to feel strut tower flexing, but it will affect how the car handles when cornering

It's not going to be like a huge change, but it's one piece of the puzzle that will help out overall.

Here's a little demo:

Take two pens. Stand them on end and then hold them near the bottom. When you move the pens around, notice how the tops of the pens move around more independently than the bottoms where you are holding and moving them together. The strut tower bar just connects the tops of the strut towers and keeps them more rigid than the materials they are connected to the car with can.

Hope that makes sense...

Thank you, that helps.

Also I'm planning on putting a drop on it. Sometime down the road I'm going to run 18s but now I want ot get he suspension done first. I'm thinking of running the 2" Goldline springs. What are your guys opinions about these springs? I've ran a search and I hear both good and bad, but seriously are they worth it?

I love my GoldLines and priced great too. (talk to scionspecialistvegas or stylis for a great deal)

I've never read anything substantive in the "bad" column about them. Usually it's more in the vein of "All other springs suck because I bought XYZ brand..."

As far as handling and looks, it is definitely worth it... 8)
