Default My SHOCKING tc

Is it just me...or does anyone else get a monstrous static electrical shock EVERY time they get out of their tc??

I'm not sure when I started noticing it...just that everytime I get out of the car, when I go to close the driver door, I get a HUGE shock! One of these days its gonna knock me unconscious (overexaggeration)

I'm wondering if its due to my sound system...could I have a bad ground or a loose connection in my electrical system??

HELP! ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS RECURRING PROBLEM?

^^I have that too! Sometimes its not so bad. Other times, it jolts the heck out of me. Maybe its our electro-magnetic personalities! BTW- I have a stock audio system. So it can't be your stereo.

It happens because its winter. I'm not scientist, but I read something because the air is so dry yadda yadda yadda, you get shocked...rumor had it if you have a good pair of shoes on, it won't happen....

Are u flamin' on my Kswiss?? j/k

That sounds plausible, scientifically, however I'm pretty sure I've been gettin shocked since before winter time (aka cold weather).. Wouldn't that be interesting though, since I'm pretty sure I've linked my SQUEAKY CLUTCH PEDAL to humidity or moisture in the air. Maybe the tc is just a VERY weather tempermental car!

Happens here....Also, my friend used to have a Cavalier Z24, that thing would damn near electrocute you EVERY time you got in, AND out of the car. Really weird.

I'm shock free.... I wonder if it's the dryness in the air or something...

Do you know what I notice what a lot of Asian people do? THEY DO NOT PICK UP THEIR FEET WHEN THE WALK!!! Thats why they get shocked a lot . Anyway, if you are one of those poeple who drag their feet, that might be your problem ;).

There is a direct correlation between the length of my hair and the amount of a shock I get from the tC. When my hair is short, I'll rarely, if ever, get shocked by the tC. However, when I let my hair get longer than a couple of inches--BOOM--shocked every time I get out of the car. Once I cut my hair again, no shock. This phenomena has been documented by others and, as a matter of fact, also happens to xB owners.

Not only does that happen when I drive a tC but I also have a X-runner and 4Runner.... every damn time....I developed a habit of touching the outside of the door with my forearm before I touch it with my fingers... I guess I am glad it isnt just me, my wife and daughter don't seem to have a problem though....

I had that same problem with my tC but there is a simple solution...

Go to the tech section and type in DIY ground wire kit
the instructions are for an xB but it's basically the same thing costs about $20 bones and gets rid of the constant SHOCK you get...

It might sound crazy but it works i haven't been shocked since i put this in 3 mos. ago!!! good luck!!!
