Im sorry I started a new thread over this but I think it is very important.

You have to change your Head Unit from tC to xA and the difference is amazing.
I was tipped on this by somebody in the previous thread I had on how to better the
audio quality on my tC.


Folks its at least twice as loud!
This is how its done...

hanging the vehicle type Equalizer setting
Press and hold the SSP button until you hear a beep, and the current Equalizer setting is displayed. Press the + or - VOL button to change the vehicle type.


FYI- Equalizer mode changes as follows:
Car type tC -> Car type xB -> Car type xA


My favorite setup is... Car type xA, with Bass at +5 and with the SSP at FEEL

To see the difference for your self... play a song and do this feature as the music plays to see the huge change, just go from tC to xA and back to hear it. Truly great!

 

Never tried that combo yet...
I have switched it to xB instead with 0 Bass.

Will try on my drive to work.

 

It's been talked about... xA sound mode is a lot richer than the tC mode.

 

yay, I finally know how to change it. I knew you held the SSP button down but never knew what to press to change it. Thanks I also hear that the Xa function is better too.

 

Yeah, xA or xB are way better. xB makes the rear license plate frame rattle too - now I'm a real ricer

LOL...Bandaid box? I don't really see that with my xA, but my xB sure does!
*back on topic.....yeah, changing the SSP will make a big difference.

I love it. It was our first Scion. I was so impressed with it, when it was time to get the wife a new car, she got the xB. Both are great, but I just really love my little xA. It's solid as a rock (no creeks or rattles at all), it gets great milage, and it's super easy to zip around and park. If anything would happen to it, I'd buy another one right away. And all for $12,995!!!

i just got back from lunch and tried it out. and all i can nsay is wow!! thats a dramtic improvment!!

 

yea i just went to my car for my break and wow that hit way more better that TC mode i have a 15' kicker in a big ___ box with plexi glass it takes up the whole trunk space with ohh and im running it off the stock radio lol it hits good and theirs no disstortion thanks IbRtc

 

Heh, I just ran out of work to try that. OMG it sounds so much better in xA than tC
