View Full Version : Springs - Need recommendations!
brarsandeep 04-22-2004, 02:01 AM Ok, I know there has been a lot of talk about springs and I have read through most of the threads. I have read the good with the bad with regards to all springs. Here is my question though. I live in Ohio where we usually have a month of good snow in the winter. I want to go lower, but I am not sure to go 1.5 or 2.0 for a drop, and what kind of springs. I know it is only a half an inch, but sometimes on the snow that is all you need to get stuck.
I posted earlier about Eibach, but read that most of you switched them out for another brand.
Anyone running a 2.0 drop in the snow???
scionspecialistvegas 04-22-2004, 02:14 AM Think goldlines, 2" front and rear drop, smooth ride, I sell them for 189.00 delivered to your door every day, guarranteed in stock no wait. All the springs out there are high quality so choose carefully, stay away from dropzone brand, sprints aren't my favorite either.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 04-22-2004, 02:37 AM GOLDLINE!!!!!!!!!!
as u were
brarsandeep 04-22-2004, 12:06 PM If I go with Goldlines, do you think I will have any problems in the snow. That is my biggest concern with dropping it.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 04-22-2004, 01:18 PM you can become a snow plow!

brarsandeep 04-22-2004, 05:05 PM Thanks for the ref pics! That does help.
Any good recommendations for a 1.5 drop?
tbblizzard 04-22-2004, 05:29 PM if you're worried about snow plowing and going to low, you're probably better off just getting the trds... it's 1" but ends up to 1.5" by the time it settles.
anyone know where i can get the goldlines at? i remember there was a place for 200 including install, can't remember where though, think it was in chino or something. got the trd's on mine, but wanna go lower, wheel gap is getting to me.
brarsandeep 04-22-2004, 11:16 PM doesn't Tanabe make springs with a 1.5" drop? I know the DF210's are like a 2" drop, but I want to say that I heard they had another set that had 1.5" drop.
I could be wrong though.
brarsandeep 04-23-2004, 12:24 AM My bad. The ones I was thinking about were the Tein S-Tech.
Anyone running Tein S-Tech springs? If so, how do you like them? Do you have any pics?
Thanks.
MrSmiley 04-23-2004, 12:28 AM Tanabe NF210 is 1.5 or 1.6 .. something like that ... I have a set on my car and I love the ride and it corners better...
I've driven it in the snow since I put them on and it was fine .. wasn't much snow ... but a lil bit
brarsandeep 04-23-2004, 12:32 AM Ok. May be I wasn't crazy. I guess Tanabe makes 1.5 springs too.
Thanks MrSmiley!!!
robear 04-23-2004, 01:20 AM GoldLine is my top recommendation , simply because if the quality product amd LIFETIME warranty they offer.

I know you are recommending Goldline springs, and I know many members love them, but can you recommend a 1.5" spring that is comparable?

Nah I'm going with 19's 20 are just too big looking. I don't like how they look on the XB. 18's look like 17's on the XB, so I need the 19's so they'll look just right :D
T_Dot 04-23-2004, 09:53 PM what is goldlines website? i would like to read more about them
