Default Ingalls ETD install for S3 Magazine

Special thanks to Rob and Brad from Ingalls Engineering for the opportunity of having my TC featured in S3 Magazine with the installation of the Ingalls Engine Torgue Damper. I also would like to thank u guys at S3 for being helpful and knowledgable during the write up. This will be in the April 06 issue.
This is 1 of the easiest mods you can do as far as the engine bay is concerned.
After the damper was installed, we test drove the TC and i noticed that i had more power put to the ground. There was better throttle response and smoother shifting. it also pulled hard out of every corner. So, since i noticed this much of a difference with no vibration on the mid factory setting, I'm going to adjust it to a stiffer setting as soon as I get a chance. Make sure to use 2-3 layered pieces of dynamat to eliminate vibration and engine noise because it works wonders. I love it.
note: The freed up power that will be used because of this damper will slightly increase or change the power tone of a custom muffler.

I had stopped by my wife's job on the way back from S3. She has a stock blk cherry TC. I let her drive mine the rest of the way home after work and she likes it to. Wifey doesn't even know what a engine damper is lol, but i still her though.

Keep those great products coming Ingalls

Did you replace the rubber o-rings with teflon or polyurethane washers/bushings? And is there really no vibration or noise, or is it just not bad and you dont mind it much?

all they did was install the part. no replacement of factory parts. maybe if it was a little more stiff u might notice somethin, but it also depends on how many layers of dynamat u use.

the tc like it or not will be the next civic seeing as how the worth while civic has gone in to the above 20k price range and all the mags no this thats why most of them either have a project tc or mention something about a tc every issue

we do not have the next civic. this is the laimist thing i've ever heard. i wish people would stop saying this. the civic is world known. the TC is US ONLY. generaly speaking, that comment is impossible to back up unless they r sold in another country.

its a new era and i call it SCION REVOLUTION

please note that i was just talkin about S3 issues, not all import mags

I agree with flints comment, However I see alot of the die hard civic si crowd looking into the tc just due to the price difference.. (17k vs 22k)granted the new si is a sick car but it is priced out of the range of your average tuner.. plus there are reports that the ecu and several other aspects of the new si make it "tuner unfriendly" When I was at sema every other booth was either an si or a tc which says alot for the both cars popularity.. Keep in mind that this whole import craze started out with the civic and integra but i definately see scion doing alot more in relation to honda to appeal to the import performance market..basically for the price of the new si you could have a greeat tc with a turb kit and some other goodies... sorry so off topic
