that last picture was taken on a black top surface, thats where 'colored' lights usually fail in performance cuz TOO blue or TOO purple hids won;t shine for ____ on dark/black surfaces, but as u can see, mine still shine just as fine =)
hell i cast shadows on all those little rocks and pebbles lol.

please comment, haters are welcome! please hate, flame or diss my car as u see fit.

The cutoff looks great on the left, but shouldn't the beam sweep up a bit more on the right?

Now that's what I call night driving! Really a nice setup! Did you have to make any changes in the wiring harness or did you just changed the bulbs to a higher wattage? Again nice setup!

umm first off dumbass, i never said anything about DOT legal or not, read your post one more time.

i ____ing said ur lame ___ yellow lights burn at ____ing HOTTER and HIGHER wattages than your stock, thats WHY its brighter than stock if ANY.

my hids don't emit any glare that blind on coming traffic, i compared it to many hid cars, and many other cars, and even test drove it a lot of times to get the hieght level correct.

maybe u need a little CAR LIGHTING 101,

http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html

it explains a lot about hids. theres MUCH more hid forums and threads and FAQ's out there, not like you'd be interested, i didn't do anything besides tell u your headlights burn at a higher wattage, thus generating more heat, maybe even MELTING the housing., they sell "HIGHER WATTAGE" wiring kits because your stock wires weren't mean to handle that amount of current.

you can rock your yellow bulbs all u want, ill put my stock headlight bulb in one headlight and BE GLAD to show u in person how stupid ur car looks.

OH BTW, everyone thats reading this, can u please show me where i mentioned ANYTHING about DOT approval? heres this dumbass's post.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12003

sorry for bashing on your cellphone, i mean headlights *insert sarcasm here*

first off, i want to make sure u understand, hids aren't exactly based on price.

u CAN if u're lucky pay dirt cheap for a ebay kit and have it be REALLY good quality.

OR you can goto your local automotive tuning place and pay big bucks for a hid kit and have it be ____ for quality. theres a hid place i take all my fellow scions and buddies to, its in san gabriel valley, ca area.

he installs, aims and test drives ur car, its about 450-475 installed INCLUDING a 1 or 2 year warranty! its awesome, he uses IPF (all made in japan componets)

Have you posted a "How-To" for the glare / cutoff shield? Are you using stock housings? Did you try the HID without the glare guards? I want to get HID for my xB when I get it this coming up week. Just want to do it right and not blind everyone approaching me. Thanks for any input!!

Foreground lighting does not look very good from those pics. Also you have the usual hot spots. The color looks fine, but I would still prefer the more useful brightness of a 4100k bulb.

it shines very well.. ill do a how to when i have time.. its a lot to type..
without glare guards.. or even with not so good glare guard, the xb blinds oncoming
traffic, so a glare guard is a MUST..

That pic there looks pretty sweet! Anyone have a link because I'm sure a "How-To" is out there. I still would like to see how you did your xB. Is that a pic of the 6000k kit?
