Ok, here in FL it tends to rain from time-to-time. So I was wondering, does anyone know of somewhere one may acquire those little door jam strips that guide the roof-rain-water-run-off to the front or back of the vehicle?

I've used the search and didn't turn up anything. I think it is more because I don't know what the little buggers are called.

No, it isn't the rubber weather stripping. It is normally a small thin piece of metal that runs along the top of the door jam and guides the water away from the door so that when you open the door there isn't a down pour of water on your head.

I have always heard them referred to as "roof gutters" or "rain gutters." And I have no idea where you would find something like that in the aftermarket. Typically this is a part of the body, straight from the factory. They are formed in the construction of the vehicle by crimping metal together and spot welding. This takes place at the joint between the roof and the body of the car.

And I must admit I find it a little funny you are trying to add this feature to your car. Hot Rodders and customizers spend a lot of time, effort and money to get rid of the same exact thing on their cars.

Well, I agree with that 100%. But, Hot Rodders and customizers don't take kids to school and grocery shop in the rain from what I'm to understand. I am enjoying the customization process but I need the bB to be practical as well.

are you talking about those rain gaurds that attach over your windows?

i know EXACTLY what you're talking about - i hate opening the door to a down pour of water droplets over my arm

i noticed that really waxing that upper area between the door edge and the upper rain groove keeps the down pour to a min.

as for a solution, you could possibly get an aluminum length, about 1-1/2" that spans the rear door and the front door to the curve and attach it w/ double sided 3m tape , just attach it to the area where the door seals w/the roof (underside, like where a roof rack's clamps fit)that way you'll only really see it from the rear
