Default just got a new pioneer hu installed.. 1 question..

should the steering wheel controls still work? it's just a pioneer radio that also has the ipod hook up. i was just wondering if my install guy was lazy or if he did everything right. thanks!

I think it would take a special adapter or special unit to get the wheel controls to work again.... probably have to buy a seperate aparatus that will allow the controls to hook into the aftermarket HU

You can get the SWIX at a car stereo shop or order it online. It's expensive, IMO, (70 bucks retail), but it does the job. I would save a few bucks and do it yourself, as the install is very easy.
