I just placed my order today and soon and very soon, I'll get my NST 3 Piece set and irk out a few more HP from my baby!

I'll post pics and hopefully have some good things to report from the butt dyno.... I'd love to have someone locally offer to dyno before and after, but I'm not into spending too much money on dyno tuning till I finish my N2O setup and run that a couple times....

I'll definately be a good resource for you all about what I think and how the install goes, but it looks pretty straightforward and going underdrive will sure get me a little more to the wheels.

I like the NST, cause it is underdrive and I don't have to tap so much power to my A/C and such...

Will this help/hurt/doesn't matter those of us staying n/a?

They was some debate whether harmonics within the engine would be disrupted, as the stock dampener has a rubber insert within it that A/M pulley systems do not.... but, no tC owners have had problems and many many individuals have run NST pulleys for years and years on tuner cars with no issues whatever...

They will give you some more HP and will also effect how fast you can get your engine moving....

I'm loving the idea and have only heard great things about them from the guys who have them. Enough to convince me that it'll be a great addition to my baby.

If you get yours b4 you get the NOS will you post your thoughts?

The three top parts.... underdrive crank, overdrive alternator and lite waterpump.

I don't have NOS (That's a company) I use ZEX, but, I do have the N2O already mostly installed... the box and tank are mounted and the hoses are run, just waiting to tap the fuel line and run the electronic parts(Wires to my tach wire and throttle position wire..., plus all the various switches) and run the copper lines for the purge kit.

i'm can't wait to hear your feedback about the n2o.

You made a great decision going with the NST stuff. You will not be sorry. I have had several different NST pulleys on my cars in the past few years, totaling over 75,000 miles without any problems. There is no way I am going back to stock pulleys!!! Those guys kick ___ :bow:

WDS where would one go to get something like this installed if one isnt comforable doing this?

I looked at a dyno place here in the portland area, but they're pricey... so I may just possibly do an after, just to see what my mods have gotten out of the car...

The pulley changeover looks REALLY easy, so any basic tuning shop should be able to do it without charging an arm and a leg...

yea but around here there arent really any shops that i would feel comfortable having install.

stupid question... would going to the dealership be a bad idea? like would they void the warrentee right there (and iknow the warentee is voided if the part directly is responsible for the damage but i just wanna ask.)

They definately would not be the best place to go... The install is pretty straightforward, so having the right tools is half the job, the other part is just following instructions....

Def go with NST. Those guys make the most awsome products and have the best customer service! As for damaging an engine from a crank pulley, has never happened to me in any way shape or form and I have run them on daily drivers for years. No issues. Man I wish I had the 3 peice!

Having the right tools is definitely half the battle. If you are not comfortable try finding a reputable mechanic in your area and ask him to help you out. The crank and water pump don't concern me too much.... they just need air tools and a good torque setup... it's the alternator that really is the tough one to do I believe.... still researching that one.

enjoy them. i have been thinkin about getting some other mods. and after having a fairly long conversation with mike from NST im sold lol. ill probly get the crank one with my next pay check. the only part that im a little worried about is replaceing the belt. WDS do you think when you do you pullies you could do a little DIY for reinsallin the belt that i could use when i order mine?

I got all three pullies last night. I am going to see about getting them installed this weekend. As far as dynos are concerned... :doh: I really dont have the flow to fork out unless I can get a hook up somehow. I'll also be posting my reviews in the days to come.

I'll post my technique, but it's pretty much turning the tensioner a bit to loosen the belt, take it off, and then put the new one on, and then letting the tensioner do it's thing again...

:silly: I'm not that much of a newbie. I thoght you were going with NOS for your setup. I'm going to take a look at the pulley system too.

No problem.... My biggest pet peeve.... NOS=N2O??? No. ZEX is so much better IMHO.

Just got my tank filled today, plus got all my purge system run, and my switches installed.... now I have to run my wiring and I'm almost good to go in that direction....

The NST's should come this next week I hope.

crank for now since i also ordered rims, that apexi safc2 i had to pay my buddy for, i ordered a oil cap :rofl: , a cheap data logger and a nice new socket set from sears since i keep loosing sockets and tein stechs to replace my trd's

i figgured ill get the other pullys later since i already dropped over 1g this pay day

yeah i have been noticing all the stuff you have been doing so i figgured i need to catch up lol i have been slacking on all the projects due to the cold weather but you inspired me to get up and work lol
