I think this is a retarded question and will probably get flamed for this but I'm 9/10 sure that my friend will need a new belt for his new SC pulley from ZPI, it didn't come with one so If he does need one, how should we figure out the size? Or can we just use the same belt as with the stock pulley?

No. the same stock belt will work with the pulley.

Pop the old pulley off, put the new pulley on, put the belt back on... and hammer like it's your job.

not 100% sure on this...

But with belt driven systems, there's a tensioner to cut slack to remove/replace the belt should anything get worn out or damaged...

If you're upgrading to a smaller pulley, you should just be able to increase the tension to take away the extra slack...

reminder...not 100% sure...

I think you'll be ok for the long term, not that we don't want to sell you an engine.. :D

The belt will probly start to slip overtime regardless with the tensioner. Its still very loose with the stock belt. Theres a belt from another vehicle that will fit the smaller pulley and probly wont slip no matter how long its on for. I got one coming to me as we speak :lalala:

When a Goodyear Gatorback belt becomes available for this application, JUMP ON IT!

It seems to be the belt of choice for Vortech and JRSC owners that are WAY above stock boost levels...

It holds and doesn't slip
