Some good looking wheels, but I am still of the opinion the stock ones on the tC look fantastic. I would rather spend the money paying off the car or for some stereo stuff then upgrade what you are getting for free with this car.

I really wish that those stock rims are 18" instead of 17". Is is really worth putting an extra $1000 to $1500 to upgrade one inch? hmmm...

17 inch is more then fine.

Good find...

But DAMN! Found out that the bolt pattern is 5x100. Eeww.

So do we need to look at Matrix and Celica Rims? What are the good deals?

Where's a good Matrix forum, i'm sure they will know.

The rims I want to buy are all $600 a piece LOL...

So it might be $2400 for a set...

The thing is, you can always sell your stock rims with fresh tyres to get some rebate :D

Each of the ones I posted in the "someone photochop these" thread were priced ~600 a piece...

I'm super super super interested in the F-Zero Kuwagata rims...

Although i might not be getting these till 5 years down the road LOL, I can't imagine me ever owning a set...

Let me see... 3K on audio, another 5K maybe on go fast mods, then probably after that I'll save up for the rims... (prices include parts and labor LOL)

I must have ol skool taste. I like the Borbet Type Bs.
Wish they made slot mags still. My parents had slot mags on there early white 70's corolla wagon. Man it looked slick.

Am I the only one whos finds the humor in the fact that tirerack.com has a customize your tc, before scion actually has theirs up and running?

Now im going to be spending hours staring at tirerack.com (ick) and their poorly built, overpriced, chromed out wheels.

i dont like any of the rims they have at tirerack. its just not my taste.

i second that. Besides, the stock ones are just fine. Its better than having 15's or 16's, right?

The tC is coming with 17s and Z-rated rubber. Considering the size (12" shorter than the Solara, 6" longer than a Celica) and the weight, don't most of you think that it will be enough?

I'm looking forward to sampling the double-wishbone rear-end. Can't wait.

If you've got Old Skool taste, check out www.trdusa.com and look at the 18" TRD rim for the Celica/Matrix/Corolla.

It's dope. LATER

I've alway been a fan of the 15" wheel. But as these new cars get taller and the wheelbases get longer, the 17's are starting to look good. I never pick up on this 18" or larger thing until I saw the 350Z lowered w/ fat 19's on them. It was perfect! Super exotic looking and yet the car was otherwise stock. The bif rims really show off the huge rounded fenders. Very porsche-like.

Volk adds look great, too. If you ever get a hold of a recent Option magazine, they always have beautiful side shots. The Mazdaspeed RX-8 looks hot with that kit and fat rims. And the G35 is clean by itself...with fat rims.

And so I'm thinking that it will be a good investment to buy some nice looking Volks for this tC. 5x100 rims tend to be a bit harder to get, so I may as well get the rims I want. I'm thinking 18x8's would fill up those curvy openings nicely.

So what do you guys think? Will 8 inches be to wide in the front and back at say, a +35 offset? That's just from eyeballing it. They designed nice curves to the car. Who knows what it'll hit on the inside of the wheel.

considering the $5000 more RSX S comes with 16s.. i'm happy with the 17 inchers :)

Ummm, when I say old skool, I mean like the 70's like, not the 90's.

Seriously I don't see the 70's in that thing :D It's cool tho... I wonder how it'll look like on the tC... Maybe you have to put the right tyres on it to achieve the full look haha :D

Kinda nick pick'n I guess. To me borbets are slightly closer to slots with their rounder holes and lip than the that of the trd wheels.

The porsche 914 in the last pic has slot mags if your wonder'n.

ok so this drives others crazy too? lol

As i was told, rims are for Basketball Ball hoops and wheels are for automobiles.

Yeah the stock rims are sweet as they are... how many cars in this class come with nice 17 inch rims? I also like that they a have a bit of shine, but are not chrome. There are very few chrome wheels that i like. The gunmetal tC rims are pretty cool, and 17" is perfect in my opinion. 18s are ok, but anything more is nothing but bling wagon heaven :P
