here's a pic of the launch... check out that weight transfer! lol

Nice times. Wonder if we can drop that 60' time down more for a stock box or if that's pretty much the best there can be.

what do they normally run stock? has anyone else posted their times?

oh wow... must of been auto, right?

only ran my girls rs1 twice. I know I could get a better time with a little more practice.

I tried to keep it right at 2,500 but I wasn't looking at it when the tree lit up. didn't lower the tire pressure or anything. I really wanna give it another try soon.

Joe, i saw a high sixteen 1/4 time posted on the internet somewhere. The manual, according to that site that i cant remember, is alomst 2 sec. faster than the auto.

actually, that is about the same stock 1/4 time as a stcok 2.4l tacoma.

I did a power-weight calc earlier. You should be at 16.37 if you're a PERFECT driver.

Keep practicing. :)

Unfortunately that doesn't include aerodynamics. :D Tack about .5 onto that. If he's lucky he might be able to drop his 60' down to about 2.2 at best with stock tires. That would put him at ~17.0. Launch & shift techniques could possibly shave that down to a best of 16.8. Otherwise the aerodynamics will kill it from making that time. I did see R & T got a 17.3 out of it also which is impressive for a car mag to get such an accurate time for once.

The calculated ET on my car is a 14.88. The best i've run is a 15.2. I know I can bring it down more, so aerodynamics doesn't play THAT much of a part, maybe .2 of a second.

You're not hitting 300mph here, aerodynamics isn't that noticible at like 85mph.

weight transfer????? uh yeah... i see it....

i also see the weight shifting off the drive wheels of a FWD car....

....our xB's aren't race cars by a long way. Always fun to pretend though (I guess).

no need for negativity man. if you don't like what other people do, great, but keep it to yourself. or at least keep it positive, ya know? having an open mind is the key =D

AndrewTrue. Cool site by the way. Thanks for the link. One thing with that calc. You need to include the weight of the person unless you are doing it remote controlled  So with me it came out to 16.81 which I could believe.

negativity?? ya'll read the last line in my post right?? ??

I believe I said in effect - race car or not, screw it - have fun. 'fun' IS what the Scion was kinda introduced for

(just PLEASE, no one start sticking giant racer-boy aluminum wings on the roofs of their xB's.... lol).

Was the calculation done with flywheel HP or WHP? just wondering?

Aerodynamics also has to play a little role even at 60-80 mph...Stick your hand out driving 60 you will feel resistance.

Those calculations are at the crank. WHP is 10-20% less than that.
