evo_tC 01-03-2006, 02:39 AM Well after so long of waiting i finnaly got my turbo kit together. Pictures are really detailed
so i hope everyone can see. The whole process was custom fabricated by East Side muffler.http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/evo_tc/davidpictures10563.jpg

I already have my greddy e-manage i just need to find someone to tune it for me. then a new clutch and flywheel along with an arc induction box. The manifold was made by rev hard. I apoligize because its so messy still but i havent had time to clean the engine because its been raining here in so cal. please give feedback
Whocares05050 01-03-2006, 02:47 AM  Wow, thats pretty nice. How mucxh did all that cost you? looks great. how much boost?
sensay 01-03-2006, 02:50 AM the design of that manifold is quite impressive
impressive but why did u re-use the stock airbox?
evo_tC 01-03-2006, 03:06 AM East side mufler only works with steel and not aluminum so they couldnt fabricate the housing the the sensor goes. Rite now im running about 6 lbs and the reason is because i dont have my car tunned yet so i dont want to push it.
DTRUONG_112 01-03-2006, 03:52 AM nice man.
datrickster24 01-03-2006, 04:22 AM Very nice, im going to start buying the parts for my custom turbo kit i hope it goes well like yours.. the one thing i dont like is that we have to cut the front bar for our intercooler :(

sensay 01-03-2006, 04:31 AM not if u get a long and thin intercooler
pixiedixie862 01-03-2006, 06:40 AM Thats my babys car... it feels good its fast! it pulls me back to the seat! nice :)

Bring it to Pep Boys in Simi on Thurs when I'm back at work, I want to see this thing!
Also my friend has a Dynocom in-ground dyno in Chatsworth and I'll hook you up. He's tuned a turbo 2.4L in a Solara that made over 200hp on stock injectors, stock exhaust, just the turbo kit with his tuning on the Emange, he's the man for the job.
So he knows the Toyota 2.4L VVT-i engine.
PM me for info
show off xPPP
nice htouhg seriously

evo_tC 01-03-2006, 02:21 PM why not show off when you have it?

Yeah, that part of the intake pipe is not easy but conquered here.

you sure it was a 2.4L solara? I know a friend that turbo with a 2.2L turbo solara. Do you have pics of the solara?
Marshall 01-04-2006, 02:37 AM Nice manifold!
Now get that bad boy ceramically coated with Jet-Hot 2000. :P
They gave me an estimate of $85 dollars. Your manifold will not only look much better, but it last longer, stay cooler and give you better performance.

KurtRS1 01-04-2006, 04:33 AM Nice kit. What are all the parts you used, because I have been putting a custom kit together too and was curious what you used? Also any problems with the turbo? I have turboed non turbo cars before and my last one was a pain, so any advice would be great.
InjentC23 01-05-2006, 01:39 PM Would this manifold be able to be used with other turbo kits such as zpi, dezod, etc.?Anyone know?
nester 01-05-2006, 01:51 PM Would this manifold be able to be used with other turbo kits such as zpi, dezod, etc.?Anyone know?
Probably not easily.. I'm assuming that's a T3 flanged manifold, which wouldn't work with our turbo.
I'm not sure what the benefit to having that manifold over a log manifold is?
seen4ever 01-05-2006, 05:04 PM I'm not sure what the benefit to having that manifold over a log manifold is?
my guess is in the near future they will create a cast copy of it, to which alot of people may enjoy having a cast manifold with next to no possibility of cracking over a tubular log style. Likewise that manifold has a very clear collector design to which a log manifold can never have. Also a log manifold puts bias towards certain cylinders to feed the turbo and to feeding the wastegate. The rev-hard still puts a bias for the wastegate, but equally feed the turbo with the collector design. if the wastegate was located in the center of the collector, it would be one hell of a manifold for the money.
