I got a normal looking business envelope in the mail from Scion today. I opened the envelope, pulled out a single sheet letter and began reading:

I am writing as a follow-up to the Special Service Campaign procedure that was recently performed on your tC. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected necessity for service. At Scion we take these issues seriously, as we always want to make sure that your car performs to our high Scion standards.
Very nice. I appreciate that they took the time to send me a letter acknowledging that I had to take my '05 tC in for a sunroof recall. I continue reading:

A little over two years ago, we launced the Scion brand with the intent of connecting with consumers in a different way. We strive to mae every customer interaction a positive one. We hope this recent service experience reinforces our intentions.
Very nice. Then, it gets to the good part:

As a token of our appreciation for your confidence in our brand, please accept the enclosed limited edition JADA tC, produced specially for Scion. Thank you for choosing Scion, we wish you many enjoyable miles driving your tC.

I have no idea what a "JADA tC" is!?

Can anyone else who got this letter let me know what a "JADA tC" is. And, let me know how I can go about getting one?

(Any spelling mistakes that are in the quote are probably my fault, as I occasionally mis-type things.)

I checked all possible places for a package and nothing...Im not in an area that has packages swiped from your porch...I've had bigger boxes and more expensive packages sitting out for a couple days with no worries...so I doubt this went missing...

Hopefully it just is coming today or tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Well , I got the same letter , WITH NO JADA TC ..

so i got on Scion.com and talked on the online chat and it was easy , i told the person i didnt recieved the JADA TC and he took my information and told me It should be getting to me asap , prob. next week somtime ... he also said it should be in a box and might ship separate .

maybe it drove out of the box ..put the box in the trunk and drove off .. lol

Heh, if they came seperate from that letter, you'll probably be expecting 2 of them after the phone call.

Maybe your JADA tC is in for the sunroof recall. :P

Maybe the postman is a tC owner and couldn't resist getting his hands on one :P

We appreciate everyone’s input regarding this issue and would like to take a moment to address everyone’s concerns. The Jada Toys tC is a gift from Scion as a special “thank you” to our customers who have been inconvenienced by having the repairs related to SSC 50S performed on their vehicles.

It has been brought to our attention that some customers have not received their Jada tC with their letter, and that the contact number on our letter is incorrect. These are issues Scion is now aware of and we are looking into this with our vendor. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post when we have updates to the situation.

We thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues.

Once I figured out that the ph.no. was wrong on the letter I called and spoke with Sonnie (a CSR), I pointed out to him that the number on the letter is 886 not the 866 it should be, he said it he would make sure those that needed to know knew...anyway, I was told by a CSR pretty much what is posted above...I got a case number to reference if something doesn't show up in the next week. I appreciate the replies above and the manner in which the CSR handled my call.

Seriously, sounds like Scion has a third party company handling this, and possibly a couple of errors were made: wording of the letter saying the tC was 'enclosed' rather than 'arriving separately' and the obvious tpyo with the phone number.

Seems as though HQ is now aware of the problem, and it will all be taken care of.

Relax for a bit and see what happens. :D

i still havent gotten my recall done yet but i planned on doing it on my next service. does that mean i will receive the jada tc for getting it done too??? i want one!!!

:rofl: I never got a $50 gift card either. A guy I work with also owns a tC(BCP) and he bought his tC like 2 months after me. And anyways he got the gift card, and I haven't gotten anything. :cry: Whatever. No biggie.

i heard somewhere that you only got the $50 gift card if you got financed through toyota finance. i never got mine either but i was financed through wfs financial. so if you got financed through someone other than toyota finance then that might be why you never received the gift card.

Right.
The $50 gift card was a "Thank You" from Toyota Financial Services, not Scion itself.
If you didn't finance through them there was no card.

Anyway OT: Still no box on the porch, but I'm confident that Scion will follow through with the gift.

same thing happened to me. i just got a PM from scion_hq and i called cust. service they told me it could take a couple weeks :tap: heh i have already been waiting about 2 w/e its a toy haha i i hvae about 4 other ones (2 suvs, a skyline, and a benz) so its not like im a big collector. but a tC would be a nice additions seen as how i OWN ONE! :P :P w/e im a patient man and its not like i paid for it.... unlike other thinks i paid for (around christmas time) which i still havent gotten yet..... i hate back-order crap :tap:

to hell with toyota. they never sent me a letter letting me know about the recall. I found out thru here. they wanted me to die!
And they didnt send me a letter either after I got it serviced.

I finally got the jada Tc !! came like weeks ago , but all i did was call Scion and tell them i didnt get it. I gave them my info and later that week it came .

Did you finance through Toyota? The fifty dollar gift card was from Toyota's finance division. If you paid cash or financed through your own bank or credit union, you won't get the card.

I got mine about 10 days ago. All good.
