As you know January 22nd is the big car show In houston at the Gulf Greyhound Park....It is an outdoor event and I need an estimate of how many Scions are going to attend to determine what classes they'll be putting us in for trophies, so write your name and scion type below:

Gates open at 9:30 am, registration starts at 10:00, judging begins at 12:30.

Car show entry is $20 and does not include a free passenger. Passenger(s) must pay the spectator fee to get in ($10 with flyer, $12 without). IFO does not offer a free passenger to contestants because entry into the car show competition is only $20, not $40 to $60 like other shows. Other shows claim to come with a "free" passenger pass when in reality the contestants are paying for the extra pass with the higher entry fee. Instead of leading contestants on, IFO charges the contestant only. It's also better for the contestant in that they won't have to go looking for a passenger to help pay for a high $40 - $60 entry fee.

Hey doug,

Are you going to be leaving for this show on Sat night or Sunday?

If Sunday morning, you can come up on Saturday for that Hays county Scion Eyed thing ( http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=94466 )@ San Marcos Toyota and then just take off for Houston from my place in the morning.

I'd go with you, but I have school the next day, plus Houston is too far for me to drive for some dude with a clipboard to tell me my xB is not cool enough for a plastic trophy :P (I can do that around here).

Just looked it up online and its supposed to rain on sunday :( 30% during the day and 60% at night....and liz the flyer is for t $2 off entry for spectators

i will definately be there because it is like 5 min from my house. finally a show in my neck of the woods. and like asked b4 are we gunna meet up somewhere and if so where and at what time. i will be a spectator.

IFO Houston is a rain or shine event. There is no drag racing and none of the other activities are greatly affected by rain, especially the drifting. Bring an umbrella in case it does rain though. As for Xa, if there are atleast 4 entered in the show, a class will be made for them. If there are several of other type Scions, places will be added, 2nd, 3rd, etc. All type make/model cars are judged for specialty categories like interioir, paint, engine bay, etc. Basically, there is a class for everyone.
