Sneakers.......
Ok so recently I've been wearing my New Balance for driving (as opposed to the Kswiss hitops) and the difference is amaZing! THe soles are a lot thinner and more flexible I guess, so I can really feel the pedal a lot better. Where as with traditional cable throttles your foot didn't need to be as sensitive, the drive by wire requires a careful/steady foot , but can actually be quite fun to drive....I've gotten to like it A Lot in the last 2 weeks. still blip the pedal to match revs occasionally just to make shifts smoother, but other than that I've gained a whole new appreciation for the transmission. I feel much more in tune with the car...
Anyone else have a similar experience w/ shoes??
Ps. I don't even TRY to drive in my timbos or business shoes. Can't even feel the pedal, RPMs shootin all over the place.

I wear Chuck Taylor High Tops.... Freaking awesome to drive with!
I can not drive any manual car with my Pumas for some reason, I have problems letting go of the clutch too fast with those on.
But the best shoes for driving with out a doubt are.....
Steve Maddens...don't know why but hey they work with my Redline pedals

=LOVE

i'm usually an Air Force 1 guy. picky about my shoes, so i
drive with a sandal on my right foot. if i had stick, that would be a bish.

I have a pair of diesels with athin sole which is nice
My favorite driving shoes are my '86 Jordans as the air bubble doesn't go all the way to the front of them AND THEY ARE SOOOO COOL lol.
Actually had a pair of them in high school and bought a boxed pair on ebay from a geek who never wore them, thats just wrong.
BTW chucks are also awsome to drive in but dont make you look like a pretend race driver at the mall lol

Out of nowhere my parents got me a pair of these

for Christmas, except in dark blue and black with orange stitching, to match my car. The bottom tread appears to be identical to the tires of the 60s- they're real comfortable just to walk and I swear I pick up about 20 horsepower just wearing them.

Rainbows are the number 1 choice for everything in life. Except I keep hearing everyone talk about rain.. I think we got some last week here but I'm not sure.. is it when water starts coming from the sky? I think I'm gonna go to the beach tomorrow.
EDIT: It's a joke. Sandals should never be worn when driving with a lot of feet movement.. they're fine for normal driving but the when heel-toe or just quick shifts are involved, the chance of sandals getting caught on the pedals is too high and the risk is too high.
haha.. i usually drive in these, or heels like these. i find it difficult to switch between heels and tennis shoes.. i usually end up over-compensating when i've got regular shoes on. this is also why there are holes in my carpet... boo..

PS- Kung Pao Samurai- I have those exact same rainbows (I live in sandals when I'm not in heels a lot), and they are very nice for driving too!
We should have a track day where everyone has to wear heels...would be funny, haha.
Anyways, I was thinking about picking up some racing shoes, or something very comfy just for use when driving. I've driven in tennis shoes, some cheap kicks, boots, dress shoes, and sandals. I get a better feel of the pedals with some decent tennis shoes though.
