Default scionsport fog light kit

i just installed my fog lights today, but i did it a little bit differently from the diy posted somewhere on here because i didn't want to remove my bumper and try to get it back on without anyone helping me to guide it. basically, i followed nycazn's oem fog light install directions from the tech section. rather than taking off the whole bumper, i just put the car on rhino ramps and crawled underneath. i removed the splash guards under the car, and after that, it was just pretty straight forward. i spliced the yellow wire to the green wire on the switch and now they come on with the parking lights. i bought the lights with the black colored lenses, so it looks sweet with my bsp. they still light up yellow, so i couldn't be happier. the only issue that i came up with is that i tried to get the rockblocker fog light protection kit, but since the oem kit has bigger lights, i had to cut the overlays a little. the shape is also a little rounder on these, so at the edges it doesn't fit perfectly. other than that, if anyone wants fog lights, getting these is def the right way to go. don't have my dig camera right now, but when i get it back, i'll take pics.

How much bigger are the OEM fogs? Does it make a difference that the SS Fog kit is smaller?

Really want fogs, thanks for a good review.

they fit exactly like the oem fogs, except the fog lights themselves are just a little smaller. i can't take pics right now because i lent my dig camera to my friend, but if i remember, i'll borrow a camera from someone this weekend. i got the black one because it matched my car. i think there are 4 colors, yellow, blue, clear, or black. the whole thing was $195 shipped, with an exact oem looking switch. the only diff between this switch and the oem fog light switch is that the scionsport's switch has green background. the stock fog light switch's background color is like a white/yellow-the color of the map lights basically.

here's the link to tikboy's diy and pics of his yellow set:

u really can't go wrong with this kit. the only other set of fog lights i think would be better are the is300 lights if u can get them fitted perfectly in the fake air vent things. that would probably be much more expensive though. if u're considering the oem fogs, then without a doubt, this would be the better way to go.

^^ yeah thats a great write up. I think i would like the black (when turned off) lenses over the yellow.

How bright do they light up the road, are they really functional or just for looks?
