Ok, I am tired of not having many choices for cat-back exhausts for the xB so my buddy and I are working on a system for all of us xB owners.

The shop the work was done at is Boost Factory in Bloomington, MN. My friend Chuck owns it and his shop mainly does turbo systems, but he can fabricate anything.

Here are pics of the progress so far.....

The center section, test fitted and welded together and positioned under the car.

The product I applied to the exhaust to make it a little stealthy and to help protect it.

I am not quite happy with the sound right now but I believe a resonator spliced into the center pipe will take care of the problems.

I will post a sound clip once I am happy with the sound of the exhaust.

Also, once I am happy with it, the system is gonna get pulled off my car and sent in to get measured up. Once measured up, Boost Factory will have the pipes pre-bent to fit the xB and then it can be sold as a kit.

Please keep posted to this thread for updates, also post in here if you are interested in buying a kit so I can guage interest in this.

 I probably would be depending on cost & finished sound. I dont like the coffee can sound on all the little ricers.

Good photos

Also, what exhaust are you using? Will the pipes be sold minus the exhaust or all 1 piece (exhaust & all)?

What size tubing are you using, and what kind of muffler?

I  for your hard work and dedication. However, i hate that design. I perfer canister style exhausts over oval. I also don't like how yours, borla's, and stock have the muffler located. Piping, muffler, more piping-to-tip. Its a weak design and lacks a constant, solid flow unlike other designs.

I also think the tip is way too small. It looks dinky and reminds me too much of stock, which in itself is restricting. I hope you take this as a positive comment vs. hating on the work you guys have done so far. I always respect those who put in the time, and money doing it themselves. However, my disagreement towards your work in progress shouldn't make or break you. I think you should continue finishing this up, who knows, maybe you might even get some offers and start selling this.

Any updates on this project? I also wanna know what size pipes you're using and if you're considering alternate tips
