Default Scion drive by... how I found my stolen cell phone

Just a funny story then ended pretty well...

I currently work in a mall. I left my cell phone behind the counter and was going to get some lunch upstairs. I get my food. Eat it. Then go back behind the register. I see my cell phone isn't there, car keys, glasses still there. I'm ask the other employee, "Did you move my phone?" She was like no, so i then call my phone... don't here it. So I then think it got stolen and I think of the customers that were in the store. Now weekdays aren't that busy so I elimated 3-4 customers and then remebered two kids looking at the video games when I got my food.

So I call Cingular and turn off the phone. Then I tell the other employee I'll be back in a few. So I go to my car and drive to the bus stop (that's where a lot of people go after they steal at this mall). I drive up to the bus stop, bumpin my system and everyone's lookin at the car...

I see the kids. They didn't recognize me cause I changed shirts and I guess they were busy lookin at the flashy car. So I see one of them have a cell phone in their hand. Guess whos? MINE.

I grabbed it from them, started yelling etc. Had the cops come. It was quite an interesting day. Everyone liked the car by the way. F'ers that steal cell phones should die...

I managed a sprint store for 4 years and all of our demo phones were live phones. People were always trying to swipe the phones. Even our regular customers would swipe them. My fav would be to let some one take the phone, then text it with this message "GPS Enabled On Phone, Please Remain Where You Are At For Police Arrival". The customers would instantly return the phone with some lame excuse like they didnt realize they had taken the phone and stuck it in their pocket.

I would've and I'm glad you did. Makes for a better lesson for little punks like that. If he had just handled it himself, they would've been like "whew, that was close" but now they can think "Hmm, I have a prior, maybe I shouldn't"...

If you don't stop it when they're young, they're just gonna get worse...

yo wat mall was that at franklin mills?

also i mean i like your thinking and all. but my experience with theft, a phone can be replaced but i mean if the people had a gun or something it coulda been bad.

also if they see your scion around now or mistake your scion for my scion

if i get keyed or busted tails or somethin now i know who to blame

Default Da Mall

It was the Springfield Mall in Springfield PA. I don't think they'll confuse my scion w/ yours unless you got a hot lava. The whole gun thing... well i drove up quickly, he had no clue who I was when when i ripped the phone out of his hands. I got in my car, got out of there and only came back w/ the cops. Obviously getting shot over such a stuipd thing would suck (especialliy if i died) but I got my principles. It's who I am, even if i pay the ulitimate price for it.

Default mess my car up

Well if they do anything to my car, i have an alarm system w/ fm band transmitter that works up to 3/4 of a mile. It pages me if anything is going on w/ the car. Yes I'm sure having a gun pulled on me would change things 4 me but hopefully that will never occurr.

Dude, that's awesome! Sounds like the car attracted enough attention to actually keep you safe in this situation. Not that criminals are all that bright, but most understand the stupidity of violence in front of a crowd that is oggling the car.
