Default Hot Wheels xB Climate Control ***** *New Pix*

I've been thinking how this would work for a while and finally just went and did it. I used some chrome JDM **** that I had but couldn't use because they were too slippery to turn and just mounted the xB's the way they looked the best. They also have full range of motion. Let me know what you think? Thanks

I don't know. I kinda like it and kinda don't. I give you props for being original . It doesn't look gaudy but maybe just overdone because the cars are so large.

I think you should repaint them the same red as the rest of the interior highlights. It would look much... well, better matched.

I did them in black cherry to match the outside.. I wanted to use 3 different color dub/import racer cars but figured this would match the car better. And besides now I can use the *****.. the way they came I couldnt use them cause they were so slippery.

Default Then crack em open!

If you don't want to paint them to match the interior, paint their interiors a matching red. That'd be some cool detail work!

Definitely too big. Too bad you don't have a shrink ray.

Maybe the Hot Wheels version would be better. It is translucent red and much smaller.

I thought about the clear red ones but the hot wheels have a pot metal bottom instead of plastic. The metal would scratch the chrome on the **** and ruin them for future mods. If I decide to change them up, I only have 2 very small holes in the recessed area of the **** to cover. The way they are now you just point the front bumper to what mode or speed. The front lip of the car actually goes to the edge of the icon ring and looks proportional. It actually makes the controls easier to turn than the oem *****. They may loosen up with time but for now they are kinda hard to turn and these make it easier. The more I see them the more I like em and I guess that's all that matters. I'll see what the general public thinks at my first show with all my new mods at the Detroit Autorama in March.
Thanks for all the honest comments pro or con but in the end we all have to decide what we like and everyones different. Thats a good thing because the world would be boring if we all had the same exact tastes.

I'm kinda torn on this one. I really like the originality and the concept but to me it just doesn't fit. but I do think you might be on to something.

I say, "Rock 'em!" I think they look good, but color matching like others have said would be better.

I like the idea but agree they seem to big......Maybe you should cut the cars in half and mount them faceing out where you see the front end of the car. With the cut off part against the ****.

Besides, Personally I can't stand the crystal ***** and feel they are way too large so we'll see how it goes. I may paint them red later but for now they stay BCP. Thanks

I actually thought of doing that but would have to come up with a way of filling in the open space to mount them to the inside of the ****. I may try something like that in the near future.

They don't block the each other's swing movement at interlocking positions?
