LEDs in speaker areas?
I was checking out https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=62882 earlier ...would there be any way to wire LEDs into the front midbase and rear coaxial speaker areas (ie. to light up the speakers as they're thumpin)? I wanna show off my component set...forgive me if any of the terming is wrong
It can be done, I've seen it done on friends cars. All you have to do is get some LEDs, some resistors and wiring and wire them up to a power source and ground them. Not positive where a power source would be in the rear of the car, haven't taken that apart yet, maybe others can help out there.
you can do it but you will need to do a coupled of things like fun a switch to kill the lights during the day of when you just didn't want them on.
You can pick the hot side of the positive side of the speaker so it will strobe and groung it to anything metal in the door but i would deffinatly run a power wire to the switch so the things wont always strobe
hope that helps

I'd reccomend using these LEDs: http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds
Cheap, bright, easy (pre-wired already for 12v). You could shave the tip of the LED down with sandpaper, a dremel, or a metal file so it disperses the light a little better.
