Holy Cow, torque steer in these! Tell me your kidding please. These have almost no torque steer. It's called hold the steering wheel when you accelerate.
TRD is not coming out with a supercharger for these. As for blowing away civics with these, especially with those size rims..........we'll leave it at that.

I am not Bullshizzin My XB has Maddd torque steer.. 1st the new AEM CAI with the long extension goes all the way under spoiler is beautiful it sounds so sweet..2nd Borla stainless Cat Back exhaust gives the car unbelievable power . I am going to get it dynod at my dad's dealership Precision Toyota.. The best part is all the mods were added by the dealer keeping all my warranties in tack!! Remeber it takes the MAF and ecu about 350 miles to reflash..I have dosed civics..eclipses and a z28 camaro in town..I will add pics of all mods as soon as poss.the aem intake(2nd gen**make sure you get the second generation cai not the shorty as they get heat damper*) is sayed to be dynod at 13-15 hp.. the borla cat back is another 10-12 hp added with the very soft z35's anbd i think i got the top end of both I have had it so far at 102mph at 3950 rpm with lots of pedal left. Anyone know what cutoff is? SO my lava is prolly pumping 108stock+15+12=135 hp making a nice power to weight ratio..

Anyway i had a 94 civic hatch gave to my bro in law we did a zc1 swap sohc w/headers hollwed cat exhaust lowered eibach kit cai its pretty quick we are gonna line em up and settle the score but ive drove both and i know my xb will own him.. as for you noobs out there the vvti is capable of almost 200 hp with supercharger and the purple bottle (not the purple pill for all you old bastards peeking in). Anyway maybe your stocker base xb ATX drives like a golf cart but my lava is hoppin.. I will post the dyno when i get it back.

So you are getting 30hp from an intake and an exhaust. LOL. You're killing me man. You need to go do some reading yourself on theses cars and the products you have put on. The intake is dyno proven at ~5whp and the exhaust is good for ~4-5whp. That is about a gain of .1 seconds in the quarter mile. So now you are running 17.1 seconds maybe in the 1/4 mile. Last time I looked almost every car out there can run it faster. Especially a z28. No matter what generation it is. Remember, it takes two cars to race. Just because you are racing doesn't mean they are.

Yup, the engine has too small of displacement to get more than that without FI. I beat an E55 AMG off the line, but he wasn't racing so it DOESN'T COUNT AT ALL.

I guess it's possible that these two mods slipped thru the cracks of the scionlife crowd  , but seems like I've seen people with them and I've yet to see any dyno results that were more than a small gain...

You guys think he's bullsh*tting?? He's not. Trust me, I know. First, I got the original hubcaps which weigh less than rims, plus they look cooler, this makes me faster. Then I got my windows tinted that's been dyno'd at +20 WHP, plus the eyebrow +5 WHP, then I got Stylis' axle-back exhaust which is +30 WHP, I slapped on the "SCION" 3rd brakelight from Randode and added +5 WHP, then the precisionmuffler.com sticker added +3 WHP, the magnaflow sticker added +2 WHP, and the Randode Racing sticker added +3 WHP, BUT since it matched my paint perfectly it jumped it up to +20 WHP. Also I did all of this during the bonus round which multiplies my results by 3. Which is 243 WHP that I have. I run the quarter in 7 seconds, but if I lean forward in my seat I can run it in 5 seconds flat. I had my car up to 183 @ 1100 RPM...and I still had a lot of pedal left. The other day I smoked a Z06 Vette through the drive-through of Whattaburger....he couldn't pass me at all. This morning I spun out on the wet street. Oh and tomorrow I'm adding some NOS floormats from Autozone +100 WHP!!!!!!!!!

NegDog - just turn the traction control off for starters. I had the same problem at first when I would race. Once I added headers (along w/intake and full exhaust 2 1/4" from front to back) the torque steer was so bad my engine builder had a friend that figured out how to disconnect the VSC. The problem is the VSC takes too much power from one wheel but allows too much to another one. The torque steer was so bad I could barely keep my box on the road when I went into second gear. I figure my intake = 11 hp, exhaust = 14 and headers = 15 plus 13" rims make it that much quicker of the line. They didn't take that into consideration when they developed the VSC. The same guy said he could possibly remap it somehow but I like it off anyway because I don't have to hear it beep all the time when I take 20 mph curves at 85+.
I know what you mean about beating everyone. The only car I have lost to is a turbo RSX-S my friend has and he didn't pull away until we hit 135. I have beaten a SI, cooper-s, srt-4, RSX, a 200SX and 510 and the list goes on and on.
I can't wait for a turbo as well. If I get tired of waiting my engine builder said we could do a RAV swap similar to how he did my CRV swap into my 95 Civic hatch.
Either way I will be winning a lot of moolah with this baby on Saturday nights.

hahahahahaha, Engine mods are CANNOT be added up like that...........
for example intake(5hp)+header(10hp)+exhaust(10hp) DOES NOT EQUAL 25HP....
they are parts for different parts of the RPM range, ie. The header if its a 4-1 helps out with torque, while the 4-2-1 helps out with HP, torque is at the bottom end of the RPM curve, while Hp is near redline. exhaust helps out with HP, as you upgrade to a larger diameter pipe, you lose torque to gain HP, the intake mainly helps out with throttle response.
so in conclusion........... you might gain ~7-10 HP from those mods,
let me know if you want more of my brain,

Ill try turning off traction control because i noticed the light blink on at high cornering speeds. I just Ordered the TRD clutch struts and springs. Hopefully they will add some bite off the line. They are gonna put my car in a magazine and the guy who is taking the pictures is making a custom orange carbon fiber engine dress up kit and he is gonna make em just for the Lava's.That should look sweet.Best part about it is he's gonna hook me up with it!!Ill post what mag when i found out.The AEM special order intake for the lava growls as i accelerate combined with the 3"Stainless Borla CAT Back makes a nice combo. The 18"enkei 8 spoke with pirelli z35's are very light. The Hotchkins strut-stablizer bar helps the frame from flexing(and looks good). I drove a stocker auto box and a stick box they both were really laggy compared to mine.

I don't know where to begine.
Hmm, how about with this...Just because someone doesn't believe you doesn't mean they are "playa haten'" (or however the hell you mis-spell it to look like it's ghetto talk).
This seems to be a problem almost 100% localized to net-forums. People come in, talk ____, and then get upset when no one believes them.
Well, here's a list of why no one believes the crap you're spouting:
None of your mods are new, all have been dyno tested, the results you are claiming don't happen.
Many of the cars you listed (Z28, SRT-4) are pretty damn fast, stock. No way you beat them without NO2 and FI.
You sound un-educated. Actually, you sound like a car forum troll. Anyone who has been into mod'ing cars for more then a week knows you can't add up HP totals from what is listed on the box.
You have nothing but empty claims. No magazine name, no dyno charts, nothing.
Torque Steer is brought on by un-equal length drive shafts. The ones on our cars are not that bad. So at low horse power (under 250), the TS would not be that bad. I've built 300+hp front drivers and been in 400+hp front drivers, those have TS, XB's got very little.
Also, I'm running enkies as well, but in 16's not 18's. You're rims weigh in at more then you think. Also, with the low profile tires you have to be running, you wouldn't have as much bite off the line as someone running a thicker tire (say a 50 series or bigger). To make it worse, you've added a ton of weight in the worst spot, right on the rotational axis. Many dyno plots have shown that adding something as benign as a big brake kit to a front drive car can rob the car of a few horse power. Adding huge rims rob even more. It's basic math but, rotational mass is bad. And those rims aren't as light as you think, especially with tires on them.
That's a small list. The kicker is, people here have worked on these cars, and others. We know how engines work, we know how the modifications will work on these cars, and others. So your claims are more then suspect, they fall outside the range of what is believable.
The xB starts off with, maybe, 95whp. And, while light, it isn't a speed demon. Even if you added 33% more horse power, and got yourself up around 120, you are still way underpowered for cars like the SRT-4 which is pushing around 200 and is in a similar weight class.

Very good explanation. Just a two things. The xB dynos at like 85-88whp stock, and the SRT is pushing 210 at the wheels (stock!). But I've got friends that own dynomometers, so they relay all this crap back to me.
Every other point is spot-on.

crappy threads like this make me want to quit the forums. Most people here are pretty cool and know about their cars. NegDog- you're an idiot!
I've owned a lot of cars including a lot of what you have mentioned and I guarantee you half the cars you claimed to beat, found you a nuissance that wasn't worth their time. I never race anything unless I think beforehand that it'd be a pretty interesting race. I don't pick on much slower cars, and I don't go embarass myself wanting to race cars that are out of my league. Yes there are sleepers out there, but the xb unless you've dropped serious cash or swapped an engine isn't one of them.

Great to have someone else on here that knows how to push their car to the limit!
I'd be more than happy to race my SRT-4 against your Scion for pink slips!
I'll even drive across the country for that race!
Cant beat a free scion!

hahaha,
Man I was hoping he was just a stupid XB owner. I would have loved to race for pinks.
Mostly everyone here seems cool exept the people that think an intake can really give them 15whp and an exhaust 30. I mean I think I should throw on one of those TORNADO fuel savers, they give you like 5HP they say!

Haha You ____ing idiots crack me up i havent been on the post in a month but it looks like you rednecks are still keeping yourself amused. Anyway the xB was bought for my wife but most of you kids wouldnt understand that. ALso my other cars are a 96 3rd generation Toyo Supra twin turbo and a 01 TRD Sequoia all hooked up. Yes i had my days at the track running ricers to death and I also had my fair share of beating up on the blue oval boyz and the bowtie boys. I dont have to prove ANYTHING do you fugazi's and the other forums from your lame ___ makes most really blow to be hanging out here. ANyway IF YOU WANT A GREAT DEAL ON A xb call Precision Toyota-Scion. Low dealer fee lots of inventory best prices on certigfied yota's.
BTW i had a 79 corolla 1.8 dual makunas shaved head cam headers straight exhaust. 13" coroalla racer wheels 10 sec 1/4 5.0 mustang eater> Oh but theres no way a corolla can beat a mustang its only a 1.8 hahaha stupid assess

PLease respond
also i owned a 4.6 atx mustang gt through a winding gold course road he almost spun out twice heh
Im sorry dude, let the DYNO PLOT speak for you!
You are a total retard! If you think a intake will give you 13-15 HP you are on ____ing crack!
Now are we talking 13-15 HP or WHP?
Can I see a Dyno Plot on the Exhaust Also?
Damn I wish I could add HP numbers up like you my car would be quick as hell.
I put the AEM intake on my SRT-4 and you know how many WHP I got out of it?
1WHP and that is on a Turbo car!
When AEM said they were getting 8-10,
I should be at 240 with the intake
quite bringing up that lame ___ neon. No offense dude but the new neon is quick stop light to stop light but is not much of a racecar. Maybe an srt extreme stage three protoype now thats a bad ___ neon. The whole point of my post was to say how nice my wifes lava is and it drives pretty nasty for a box. If you wanna hook your's up go with this set up. What kind of aem do you have? Shorty, 2nd generation CAI?Still havent had the box dynod because i have a real job..But goinna take it down to bradenton to 1/4 it..

I test drove an xB today.
This thing couldn't get close enough to my econobox 98 Civic HX's rear end to read the license plate. And the Civic is by no means fast.
An intake ain't gonna make that much difference. And the fact that a Civic counts as a braggable 'kill' is pretty damned pathetic.
Now that I've insulted the car - let me say that the xB is such a cool little vehicle that I will be ditching the civic for one next month.

Do keep in mind it's an econo-car, and not a sports car.

Haha you guys are lamer's. Why would i post a message that i couldnt back up.. I will post the dyno when i get it back.
i came across this and i was wondering, what the hell are you thinking. thats is the stupidest thing to do. swap a d16zc1. how pointless is that. trust me those mods u did on the engine wil not help that d16 for ____. i was a honda tuner till i got my xb and a d16 will never get and good numbers. thats wen the b16 comes into play. too much crap talkin. u wish u could take an eclipse and a z28.
