So I filed my taxes last night and hopefully should have my refund in a few days or a week or so... tires are and have been #1 on my list for a while. I decided long ago on the Pirelli PZero Nero M/S and that's what I'm sticking to. But now is the fun part of shopping around and getting what I can. I've only found one actual tire place that can get Pirellis around me so far but here's what I've got.

Local:
- Christiansen Tire: $179.99 each including mount/balance

Internet:
- www.tirerack.com: $123 + $9 shipping each
- www.tires.com: $126 + free ground shipping

My dealer will mount and balance 4 for $50 + tax.

So here's what I've got:
- Christiansen: $720 total mounted and balanced
- TireRack + Dealer: $578 total mounted and balanced
- Tires.com + Dealer: $554 total mounted and balanced

I'll also be getting a 4 wheel alignment so that's another $70.

But it's just ridiculous how much cheaper it is to get them online and mount/balance elsewhere. I'm still waiting on quotes from a couple other places and I'm calling some more... but OMG.

Anyone else have fun finding good deals? Any recommendations? I know I might be able to get them mounted/balanced elsewhere cheaper (marginal) but the guys there are cool and I'd rather have them do the work if I can.

Please let us know what you think about them after you've had them for a bit. I'll attempt to wear out my stock Yokos before buying better, but am still undecided on what will replace them.

You at least have something that is not the Potenzas... you should be OK for a while, but may want to upgrade in the future.

If these are your summer tires then I would recommend Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. I got 2 of em and no wonder they're the #1 ratead Max performance tire on tire rack, Car & Driver, Autoweek etc. $150 each online though

That's where I bought my Shoes and Soles. I have the Pirelli PZero Nero M/S s and absolutely love them! :love: Much, much better than the stock Bridgestones IMHO. I had America's Tire Co. do the install. (They are affiliated with http://discounttiredirect.com.) It took all of 20 minutes. So I have the FREE replacement (Road-Hazard) and LIFETIME spin balancing & repair certificates! G-Force T/A s might be my next purchase though. I really like the aggressive tread design.

That's the one I've been considering most seriously. Seems like great price/performance since they're ~$92ea, and I really liked BFG's Comp TA HR4's that I ran several years ago...very forgiving, easy to control.

Those do come on the optional 18 enkeis correct? Does any1 like them and how are they comfort wise?

I had the stock 17's but wanted the enkei's so i bought them after i got the tC. I just got some tires to put on for now. Been thinking about changing out for some confortable soles!

I don't mean to burst your bubble or sound rude, but I was actually told the complete opposite. I purchased my tires from storminwheeldeals on ebay to get a better price and not pay sales tax, PLUS I took them to a shop here in Phoenix and wherever you get them mounted and balanced, you CAN purchase a road hazard warranty. It is less than 10 dollars a tire for the road hazard at some places.

Any thoughts on this? I've been reading a lot of review for them and there are a few that say that they're just as good as many of the all seasons they've had and then there are a few that say not to even try it in the snow. But I wonder if the latter may just suck at driving in the snow, period - independent of the tire on the vehicle.

I think I can handle driving in the snow quite well ... but I don't know if there are many people that drive around on Summer tires in the winter.

^^^For what it's worth, if I had to spend any considerable time in the snow, I wouldn't be considering the g-force TA. Can't fault the tire, as it wasn't designed or intended to perform well in snow.

Hard to say. You could always have your current tires mounted for that 1-2 months and then go back to the TAs.
I doubt they're good in snow, but it also depends on how MUCH snow and other variables.
I'd have two sets of tires if I still lived in the snow - always did it that way.

We'll see. I'm bidding on a set of wheels on eBay right now actually. I have two curbed wheels and would like to swap them. So if all goes well, I can actually have a full second set for winter/summer.

^^^ that's a good plan. Wheels also take a hit in winter, so save the good stuff for when the snow melts!

Ya, they're all still stock wheels, but if I can pick up a set cheap and have one full curb-free set, it would be nice.
