I've been trying to activate my satellite radiio on my XA.

XM Radio says that I have to have my radio ID available and that I can find it by going to the SAT option on the radio and going to channel 000.

But everytime I press the SAT button, nothing happens. The stereo doesn't change to something like it would to cd or radio. Is there something wrong with it? Should I take it to the dealer to fix?

Do you have the Xm radio option? If you do go to chanel 1 that's wherenyour radio Id is at. gOOD LUCK.

My guess is you don't have the tuner and antenna from the factory. Even though some headunits are XM or Sirius ready, doesn't mean that they're complete. All it means is that the headunit can control and display satellite radio information.
