did your scion xb's come equipped with any kind of smog equipment? or anything to regulate emissions that decreases horsepower?

no. all the scions are the same, whether they are sold in california or not. there are things built into the design of the intake, valve timing and ehxaust system to help regulate emissions, but they've got everything designed so well now that it doesn't help much to remove that stuff. maybe putting a new intake and exhaust, but removing the catlytic converters probably won't help that much.

no not at all. im shipping one from cali to me in hawaii and i was told by some people down here that my scion might be equipped with such gear.

funny thing is, i was told this by a toyota rep and also some people that work at honda and mazda. i was just asking around at different places to see what people said.
