I was thinking of buying a set of stock tc rims to paint then selling the ones i have now after i get the painted ones put on. If i'm lucky i wont be out too much money. My reasoning for doing this is that i can't be without my rims at all and it would take me like a week to get the rims painted and ready to be put back on the car. Does anyone have any suggestions of where i could get inexpensive stock rims? I've already been on ebay and found them for around 200 a set and i could do that then hope to turn around and sell mine for 200 but if i could profit that would be the $h1t! lol Ok so whatcha think.

I know Kevin McHone has his for sale. I do not know what he would sell them for, but you would not have to pay shipping on them if you did this. Just a thought.

Now a new problem..... to paint or not to paint! I think i'm going to paint them black and leave the polished lip. Should i get my shop to do it or DIY it?
And i may need help selling off my new ones soon so spread the word! Stock rims no tires. i'd like to get at least $250 + shipping hopefully more.

I am a little confused. Are you going to paint those or the Scion wheels and are you going to put the rubber from your stock wheels on the new wheels or buy new tires all together?

I'm going to paint the new rims and sell my stockers. I am going to keep the tires and put them on my new rims.

The going rate on SL for used tC wheels and tires is about $250 plus shipping. You could get a new set of Kuhmo 711's like I just got, shipped for 300 bucks and have them mounted on the new rims. Just a suggestion. Or remount your old ones and try to sell just the tC wheels for the same amount you paid for the new ones. Let me know what ya think
