ughh. So im driving to Laughlin thursday night cruising at a respectable 90 mph. Then all of a sudden a tire jumps out from behind a bush. I try to avoid it, but there was a car next to me. I nailed it with my front left corner. It destroyed the lower lip, the bumper is all jacked, my aluminum grilles are wasted, the inner fender liner was rubbing the tire, the side marker was hanging out of the fender, and when it came out the back, it blew off half of the rear bumper. I'm soo ____ed. At least it didnt hurt the wheels, since they are sold

DAMN!! That sux, hope your (thier) deductible is low. Too bad you're trying to go back to stock or that'd be a good reason to get a kit.

*OUCH* And those were nice mesh grilles too ... Good thing that tire decided not to attack your windshield.

I very nearly hit a COUCH somewhere on the 50 last Thanksgiving night ... would've been cherry pie all over the place.

that sucks!!!!
kinda remind me 2 saturdays ago, we are going home from South Coast plaza, on FWY 57 north there a bass drum in the road, luckily drivers in front notice it and slow down gradually and swerve to avoid it. all of us did the same.

Sorry to hear of you misfortune Randy, :( You can order the bottom pieces from the dealer right? Was there anyother damage underneath?

y'know, that rear end doesn't look half bad without the skirt. All that is needed is a little trim piece to cover the attachment groove on the bottom of the bumper and a couple of mudflaps. That would make the next "road alligator" encounter much less painful! :)

Randode, just curious. How do people know when you're going in Reverse? You have no reverse light.

When I first saw the subject line I thought you'd *blown* a tire at 90 mph. Which would be immeasurably worse.

Randy,

This may be a little too late but, Did you know that any debris that damages your car on the freeway is covered by CAL TRANS? I had a tired damage my car in a simular situation. All I did was get a police report from the CHP. The officer saw the tired and took it off the road. I took the tired , called CAL TRANS and they sent someone out the look at my car. They cut me a check in 2 weeks. You should still look into it. You might be able to get compensation for your pain.

Same thing happened to me last week, the tire cracked my oil pan, crushed the cat coverter, and ____ed the three pieces of the ground effects. The parts are all on back order so I will be with out my ride 4 weeks or so.
