It's okay. I taped off the inside of the cover and painted it with a flat black testers spray. The part that came out good was that the color matches the body perfectly. the circular part was done by taping down a lid from a tupperware bowl! It's easy to measure it evenly, since the bumps on the inside of the plastic are kind of like a grid. Some friends told me I can get a ticket for getting rid of the red reflector between the turns and backup lights, but I've seen lots of different cars with stock tails with no separate red reflector ( I think the fact that our stoplights reflect red even when not in use helps). I'm not sure if I like it, but since I painted it, I'd need to get new tails to change it.

You can buy yellow led replacements I bet. They're white until they're on and then they're the proper color. See it on motorcycles all the time. Red too - of course.

Ya, it actually looks decent. I'm not a fan of a lot of the tail mods involving films, but this paint job looks good.
