Default *JL Audio Speakers & Subs*

Alright i need some help on deciding which components to get? I currently have Alpine sps-170a components right now, kinda happy with them but want a little more.

Im gonna be going JL Audio for the subs that im getting which is 1 JL 10w6v2 with a 500/1 amp. So it would be good to go with JL for the components. Im thinking of getting the JL XR650-CSi with e2150 amp for the components. Im not looking to spend no more than $200 on those components. The components amp will probally be under my seat with the other in the hatch. The components will be mounted with custom made MDF wood 3/4" baffels.

How does that sound! Im gonna be re-doing my wire's to STINGER!

Components V
JL Audio XR650-CSi
Amp V
JL Audio e2150 amp

Sub V
JL Audio 10w6v2
Amp V
JL Audio 500/1 amp

I like to hear some bass, and i like listening to rap and rock. I want to be able to hear the music outside my car aswell cause me and my buddies like to hear some music when we play ball. Let me know and "please only positive, good and helpfull comments" thanks fellas and any ladies!

Are you using the back speakers too? If not, are those comps bi-ampable? If so, use a 4 channel amp instead. That would sound the best. My wifes car is done that way using Boston SL60 thru an e6450 with a JL 8W0. Car sounds good.

you could do that, but the radio pwoer is different from amp power and could sound funny. I would leave them off altogether then.

Do not use a e amp.

300/4 or somthing like that.

If you want to change your mind better pricing go with elemental designs.

They are a site sponsor.

I'd stick with the plan you have.... it'll sound uber sweet....

edit: only problem, I don't think you can find the XR components under $200.... maybe like $230 shipped or something....

edit again: I'd put the fronts on a good JL slash amp and run no rears...

the RIPS design will give you constant RMS power with a wider array of voltage input(12-14.4v)..... That's my understanding at least....

yea ive was talked into the slash series cause it does perform alot better (i heard the difference at my local Tweeter)

I am (going to be) running the 525 XR components in the front and 650 coaxils in the rear. I also am working with 3 w6v2s... i think ur setup sounds pretty nice just if u have the cash id upgrade to slash series amps.

yea i just need the cash too! I should be getting my tax return within the next 2 weeks? Ill hopefully get something with that? I think ill go slow on getting this tho cause im happy with my alpine but just been tempted to go with JL. Ill be going with the XR650-CXi in the back also.

Hey "PlayinWithFire" why you going with the XR525's? You know you can fit 6.5" in there right?
