well, it's now been 4 weeks since I ordered my TWM short throw shifter from PTuning.
I contacted TWM directly 10 days ago and they confirmed "production delays" on their end. TWM stated that PTuning should be receiving stock again (last week) and my order would soon be followed. WELL, I'm still waiting

So, just wanted to notify any near future "buyers" that you may be in for a wait if their "production delays" haven't been rectified.

yeah it's 6 weeks old but even after this...I still totally enjoy it....I saw Paul's xa, the one that won at the "unsponsored" show in puente hills,ca and he has the twm shift knob....I'm kinda diggin that too!...anyway the shifter is bad ___ and runforstrum...you already checked it out...it really makes a difference in the way you drive your car, firm, short, notchy shifts! it's really all good!

for new peeps check out this thread....

I just bought mine from Randode...got it same day (cause I'm local), and it is by far my favorite thing that I have done to the car...

is randode's just shortened or is it really a short shifter?

Just to let you all know the xA and xB shifters are back in stock and ready to ship from both us and Ptuning.

I do apologize for the shipping delays, these parts are moving very quickly and keeping them in stock has been tough...

Thanks,

Karel

Well, after nearly 2 months wait...I also received mine Friday (yesterday) - FINALLY! :x Anyways installed it last night and the consensous is clear - the TWM STS ROX! As subcode mentioned B4, and I agree: throws are shorter, a heavier (notchy) feel, and the look is just so much better.

My only complaint is that it wasn't as easy to remove the stock parts as the instructs make it appear: The pressure washer which is supposed to just "pry" off with a flathead screwdriver had to be dremmeled off, otherwise I would have had to gouge at the surrounding plastic; the top cap which cups the shifter is also "supposed" to be just "pryed" off was A PAIN IN THE ___. I actually gouged the ____ out of it before it budged - poor plastic

But, once those two ordeals were dealt with, the rest of the install was cake.

I ditto that removing the pressure washer was a royal pain..., I tried with the screwdriver, but after so much damage to the plastic, decided to get a different tool, I used a very thin prybar (for pulling nails) that I had and it worked MUCH better. I can't get over how good the shifts feel now, although they are still not as short as my WRX's "Stock" short shifter, they feel much more solid, and I am much more confident that I am actually in gear. It also makes transitioning between the two of them much easier, since I don't have to go from 2" throws to 6" throws everytime I switch cars.
