Let me check around to see if someone is free, I don't think I'd be able to help with a simple install for a couple weeks as my plate is mounding at this time.

there is no rush on the intall- i'm just wondering if there are people out there who'd help me out- i'm waiting to get some money for my component amp- do you work at a shop or something? i'm looking to buy a jl audio 300/2 because it fits the specs on my comps and the amp will fit under my seat which is vital-

also- i need someone to tell me if i'm going to need to get some mdf speaker mounts made to replace the stock ones because of the depth of my mids (2.75" depth)

and i need to know if you have to do any cutting or anything to fit 6.5 speaks in the front door locations

Hey, I'm looking to move to Topeka, if this damned house will sell.

Sorry I can't help, if I was up there I would.

Good luck with the install.

I used to work at an install shop... life has taken over and my skills are being employed in several other areas as well as school.

As for the amp and MDF rings, I wouldn't install the components until you have the amp, otherwise you are going to end up doing double the work. MDF rings would be ideal in your setup for sure. You could probably do fine with just a 1/2" spacer. As for the xA speaker mounts in the doors... I was under the impression they are oversized 6.5" so you could possibly install a 7" if you so choose... just be weary of the mounting depth.

I've got a friend of mine who lives in Topeka that does installs and used to work at Keifs in Lawerance. If I could just get him to return my email I'd have something for you.
