Default Does anyone find this cool

I was helping my friend move into his new apartment today and I parked infront of a garage. The man came out a short while after and asked, "Who's Toyota is out front?"

I thought that was cool. He was an older guy, prob late 40's. Usually people don't know what to call it, but he definitely knew it was a Toyota. He was very nice about it as well.

Yes, some of us older people know it is a Toyota. And it is cool.

That's cool. I get LOTS of "Is that one of those Honda Element hybrids?"
I am like, "WTF?..."
OH! I just remembered, does anybody have all or most of the Scion CD samplers? I need to get those because the music is awesome. If you or somebody you know has one, I'll pay for a copy (at least shipping!). Thanks!!

On a flip side I had a younger dude (somewhat unsavory) I'd say around mid 30s come up to me at my office and said " hey man look at you parking your car all back here away from the other cars and sh** " I replied " yeah man I park here because its under a camera" the guy then walks over to it starts looking in the windows and turns to me and says (no f*in lie) "well man I wish you luck with it, it a beautiful Camry, oh and how much did you pay for that kit or was that factory"... In my head I was LMAO I own a TC dude and its not even a 4 door and I dont have a kit not even the lip kit on it...

Nice,

Sorry if I came off sounding like older people forget things...totally not my intentions.

This has to be the most replies I have ever gotten and or views to anything I have posted...I went to sleep and had no replies then POW! 11...not counting my own.

Thanks guys,

quote from BrianGillian "Sorry if I came off sounding like older people forget things...totally not my intentions".

Perhaps I will get to the "forgetting" stage soon, but I try to put it off as long as possible. Perhaps that is why I take pictures after every mod, so I can remind myself how much fun I had working with the BOX. And if my memory fails, I still have the pics to refresh my memories. Just having fun with it. :D

That is cool. I always get the "Is that one of them there Hybrids" comments. I got so tired of it I had a sticker made for the rear that says "HYBRID". problem solved

"Older guy"? <snerk>

I remember my late 40's!

I hafta admit, though, I didn't know what a Scion was then, except a word that means "offspring" . . . . ;^)

Usually i'm asked the following:

"Whats a bB and who makes it?" (front bb emblem, debadged rear so i have to tell them the xb is the usdm version of the bb and so on)

"Hows pick up, does it have a v6?"

"How much do they cost?"

I haven't been asked these in a while though, i'm rarely ever asked and i see at least 2-3 scions everyday when i go out so..

my state(NJ) lists my Xb as a toyota (make) and a Scion (model).... seemed a little strange Doesn't even mention it being an Xb! I guess toyota hasn't let go as much as ford does with mercury, etc..
