When you guys bought your SCION xAs, did it come with the SECURITY FEATURE or did you guys have to order it? Coz, i have mine added when i bought the car.. unfortun8ly, the stupid dealer had a CLIFFORD SECURITY SYSTEM installed instead of the SCION SECURITY SYSTEM... i was ____ed and they said that they will replace it... i've been waiting for a month now and they still have not called me back yet... :x Currently, I still have the UGLY CLIFFORD REMOTE KEYCHAIN... it sucks....
I would like 2 know what features does the SCION SECURITY Remote have. I read that it has an auto light on and off... but looking at the pictures of the remote keychain, it only has 2 buttons, the Car lock and unlock.... please let me know what things i should look for when i finally get the SCION SECURITY SYSTEM since i dont trust my dealer anymore...... ughhh!!! i h8 dose damn bastards!!!!

Don't have the Scion Sec system but The Clifford is better. The only thing the remote does on the Scion Sec system is unlock/ lock and panic. That's it. Did you pay for the Scion Sec System or was did the receipt say Clifford. Not sure which one is cheaper.

Been some people on the boards who have had probs with the dealer security system (i.e. stolen, broken into and the alarm didn't go off). I would keep the Clifford and be happy about it.

They charged the same as the one featured on the SCION website for the KEYLESS Entry which was $499. I was hoping for the cool SCION REMOTE KEY CHAIN though.. the clifford remote keychain sucks! it looks super ugly. Not only it is too big, the shape is just ugly...ugh!

i had the scion security system/with keylees entry installed at the factory (or wherever). the keyless part works great, but i have never been able to actually test the alarm. no matter what i do, i cannot set it off. the dealer said that i needed to break the window to set off the alarm, but i am obviously not going to do that. so i just have to wait until someone tries to steal the car before i will know. :( as for "features", couldn't really say... if the clifford works, you are probably better off than me.

You are so much much better off with the clifford, the scion security, does not have door triggers, starter kill, flashing lights, shock sensor, auto arm, you have a real security system with the clifford, I would call dealer and say never mind. It better to have a good security system that works then have a crap security system with a cool remote. Bill Turner

:D Thanx guys! i feel much better now. So i guess i'll stay with the Clifford then...
BTW: Here's how i tested the Clifford alarm if it was working.. i clicked the lock button on the remote keychain then that turned on the alarm on the car.. then without using the remote keychain to unlock the car, i opened it with the car key and the alarm set off...
also, I opened the driver side door, then before going in, i clicked on the lock button on the remote, then I sat in the car and put the key in the ignition... then i turned it on. the alarm went off.
well thanks for the input guys. :D

The scion security system uses the door pins in the vehicle. Did you mean hood and trunk pins? Also the scion security system has a flashing light feature as well and It will auto arm just as your locks will auto lock when and if you leave your vehicle forgeting to lock and arm it. Not all Aftermarket alarms come with a shock sensor so make sure you ask! :D
