On April 8th, 2006, Scion will be hosting a car show (3pm-8pm), and film festivalt from 8pm - whenever. This will he held at bengies drive-in (the largest outdoor movie screen on the entire east coast!) and it is a VERY big lot, capable of holding about 750 cars. We need to get as many Scions out there as we can, we are looking for about 200-300 Scions.

Roll In Information:

For Scions: 12:00PM Noon - 2:00PM

All Others Showing: 2:00PM - 3:00PM

Open to the Public: 3:00PM

Price to register: Not Sure Yet

Price to get into the event: Not Sure Yet

As you all know, when Scion throws an event, they do it right... which means tons of fun, and a boat lot of freebiees :clap:

Some of the rules they have posted on the website dont apply, because of Scion using it for the weekend. Camera's, Video Recorders, Camera Phones, Etc will be allowed until 8PM (when the movies start), after that, you will not be permitted to use them. Once i get more info, i will revise this posr.

If anyone needs help, or has questions about the area (or anything else for that matter), please feel free to ask me. I am VERY local... about a minute away from bengies, so I could answer just about any question ya throw at me.... but to kick off with a most likely FAQ... here we go..

Q: Hey Zach, Is there a car wash near by?
A: Good Question, YES! Right before you get to Bengies there is a Citgo about 1/4 of a mile BEFORE you reach bengies. Please do NOT use the auto wash because it is old fashion and will grab your wheels on a track, and brushes will hit ur car, so use the normal bays to spray down the car. They also have vaccums there.

Q: Is any anywhere to eat if I dont eat at the event (bengies does have a full snack bar though)?
A: There is a Brand New Subway on the Right hand side of the road right after the citgo, in a very small grey building which also has a little store connected to it. There is also a McDonals right at the entrance of Bengies (you would pass bengies and make the next right into their parking lot). If they dont meet your hunger needs... Turn right at Carroll Island Road (rite-aid and micdonals on the corner) and then Turn RIGHT at the first light into the shopping center, there is a KFC, Carroll Island Diner (local diner... the food is ok), and Pasta Blitz (Italian Place That I Like Alot). NOTE!!! If you go to KFC, LEAVE THE WAY YOU CAME IN!!! there is an exit right by the KFC, but you will scrape your front bumper off no matter if you are at stock height. There are also a few sub shops around if you want them... just let me know

Q: If I need anything like suntan lotion or cleaning supplies, where would i go for that?
A: A Rite-Aid is right next to the McDonalds and their parking lot is connected. You could also make a right onto Carrol Island Road (the corner where rite-aid and mcdonals are) and make a RIGHT at the First Light. In this shopping center you will find a Wal-Mart, and an Advance Auto Parts... and Dollar store if you need that.

Q: If the event goes on till the early hours the next morning, and I dont wanna drive home... is there a hotel near by?
A: Sigh... ya got me on that one... but... LISTEN TO ME ON THIS, and ask me before you book a place if you decide to do so. I would only recommend the Hilton and the Hampton in white marsh (about 20-25 mins away). They might be a little more expensive... but here are my reasons. There really isnt anything within 10 mins to stay at for a few nights, and I dont recommend staying anywhere eles in the area... these places are:
- the FairField in Golden Ring (because of the area)
- any place on Route 40 (Pulaski Highway), it is a bad area, trashy place, and well..., i dont want your cars messed up
- the super 8 on Eastern Ave (behind Al's Seafood) beacause of the area
If you guys find a place I didnt mention, PLEASE ask me about it and tell me its location before you book it.

more info to come soon, but I do know there is NO CHARGE to register or to get in. there is also no charge for vendors, but they need to pre-register with me to be able to set up, so let them know to hit me up.
also, you can bring outside food in that day, without buying a permit, but you cannot set up a grill (baltimore county law). alcohol will be permitted, but no kegs. we have hired an outside security firm, so they will be regulating the underage drinking and other "illegal activities"!
