Just maintain it. After about 5k miles, swap to synthetic.

Amsoil Synthetic.....change out all fluids after the recommended break in. I have ran Amsoil in all my vehicles.....expensive, probably the most expensive on the market but it works, check into it.

Another vote for Amsoil!!!!! Do some research on their web site. It will further convience you it's the way to go!!!! I've been using it on my Dodge diesel since new with no regrets! Changing you oil on a regular basis is , IMHO, the most important servicing to ensure the longevity of your engine. Combine that with sensible driving habits and you should have many trouble free miles ahead of you.

Your gonna get so many different replies to this thread .... Here is what i have done this far, and everything seems to be in working order.

First, i went by the thread posted by someone who goes by MotorMan ( do a search, you get one topic, easy find ). I ran my engine hard from the dealer to 20 miles. I have an automatic, so i left it in 2nd gear, and brought the RPMs up, then let the compression bring the motor RPMs back down. Doing this according to MotorMan causes the rings to seat better, faster.

After the first 20 miles, i did an oil change ( yes the oil was already dirty, just after 20 or so miles ). I added dyno oil again, and ran the engine another 1500 miles. After which i had performed another oil change, and switched to synthetic motor oil. My oil of choice, and several others here, Mobil 1; do another search for Mobil 1, and you should get several threads, one of which an engineer from NASA performed stress tests on this and several other oils to find that Mobil 1 did the best.

I followed the instructions from the first post my MotorMan, and i can say that my engine makes no noise, has great pick up, excelleration, and now is getting great gas mileage. BTW, i drive about 400 miles a week, all local suburb driving.
