how many points are allowable in CO?
How many points are you allowed to get on you license? How many points is a usual speeding ticket, i got a really bad ticket and i need some refrence.
wow your going to get screwed! depending on your past with jonny law they might plead you down but because your going so fast and your out of state they might just make you pay ALOT and i mean ALOT of $ to get out of it or you will be staying in FT Collins for a little bit, good thing you were going 120mph you would have gone to jail right then and there and they would of added attempted murder (i think that is what it is)to your charges you also have to hope that this ticket wont get back to your home state because they are also able to revoke your licence also depending on how they feel i would call them and see what there take is on it

Just show up to court. Dress up. Comb your hair like a dork. Dont act like a bad ___. They should reduce your pts. You will probably have to go to a driving class. You should also need to drive slowly until some of the pts are gone. I am not sure how long it takes to get rid of the pts.
DAMN fine job son!!!
Seriously - the points (at least if you were licensed in Colorado) will stay on your record (for insurance purposes) for 3 years.
That is 3 years from your COURT date, NOT the date you got the ticket.
Second - speaking of the $$$ you are worried about - I can't imagine what the fine will be, but I'll bet you dimes to dollars that your Insurance Company will DEFINATELY make you pay when that comes up on your MVR.
The other thing I find interesting (and thinking you are actually VERY lucky) is that you get to go back to Ft Fun (Ft Collins) to spend your night in jail. Unless it has changed, Colorado State Law allows the PD to arrest you and impound your car for ANYTHING that is 20+mph over the posted Speed Limit. And in most states, that is true for anything over 100 mph... per a previous post about Attempted Murder charges, I believe they call it Speeding with Deadly Intent or something like that here in Colorado.
Dude - I am seriously glad that I am not in your shoes. Best of luck in getting it worked out - but again, not to add to it, but I am sure this will cost you some major $$$.
All the best -
Chris
