oni424 02-08-2006, 06:31 PM Don't know if anyone has seen todays Capital Newspaper, but the cover story shows a Scion xB that was totaled by a tractor trailer. The accident was near Lothian maryland. The xB was covered in an auto wrap that sais dcautowraps.com Anyone know about this. The capitals website, hometownannapolis.com hasn't updated with todays story so it may not be up until tomorrow.

eburgsspeedyxb 02-08-2006, 10:44 PM One of the girls in the MD Chapter of NRG works for DC Auto Wraps. I spoke with her earlier, and no one is handling the situation well at all.
Just_a_Girl 02-09-2006, 12:06 AM That looks awful.

scionlife 02-09-2006, 12:29 AM I don't know if I have ever seen a car demolished THAT completely. Looks like a full-speed head-on accident. Terrible.
Metro273 02-09-2006, 12:34 AM WOW! Gives me the creeps just looking at the xB... :nails:

Ihearturlowride 02-09-2006, 04:13 AM My name is Nikki (onelowbbsbabysxb in many forums) and I am part of the DCAUTOWRAPS/Empire Graphics. Kevin Micheal Crine who was 32 years old was killed this morning in the accident. He was the most remarkable person I had ever met. He was a pro motorcross/supercross rider in his younger years and traveled the world with that. He retired a few years ago and had worked at Empire before the current boss owned it. He was a man who gave so much and never expected anything in return. His pride in joy in his life was his one year old son, who was pretty much his world. He had the sweetest wife who he had been high school sweet hearts with. I cared about this man with all my heart. He is what kept our small business together and got us where we are today. He was best friends with the owner of the buisness, his right hand man. I cared so much about Kevin and I was very close to him. This is completely devastating. I went with his wife to the scene of the accident and just standing there watching this car so mangled just looked like a bad dream. I just can't get over how one of a kind Kev was. He touched so many and I had never met someone who was so famously known and as down to earth as he was. I honestly right now don't know what I will do without him. I'm sorry if this post is a big boggled mess, but I have had a really long day and I am still very out of it. Ted from Scionrg tonight called me and told me there was a post so I just wanted to let everyone know how great of a person Kevin was. And that this wasn't just an accident but a total tradgy. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions

Let us know if there's anyway we can help the family. SL is traditionally a generous bunch. This breaks my heart.
ScionBandit 02-09-2006, 02:38 PM we try
KevinxB 02-09-2006, 02:59 PM That is terrible news, my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends.
hattrick 02-09-2006, 03:22 PM SL should setup a donation section for the family if they can be contacted and are willing to accept assistance.

not a bad idea
oni424 02-10-2006, 01:44 AM So sorry for the loss. I hate to think that anything so tragic could happen to anyone. The paper today reported he had just dropped of his child to the babysitter before it happened. If any consolation can be taken from that, at least the life of the child was spared. Anyone who can find out what we as a community can do should post a thread in here. Peace all and safe driving.

A fund was set up this morning so I took that from RacerX.com because my boss said it was set up on there. I just need to find out if maybe we can set up a paypal acount to go to the fund. If anyone might know how to do that or who I should contact let me know. I figure a link would be alot better than postal mail.
Today another witness came foward to the police and it may not have been Kevin's fault. The investagation has been reopened now. Everyone is still just in shock, but trying to be strong for each other. Funeral arrangements were made this morning for Monday of this coming week. Thank you so much for everyones prayers and kind words, it is truely appreciated in this very tough time.
Thanks Again,
Nikki

Ihearturlowride 02-11-2006, 01:52 AM We talked to Paypal today and to set up an account they will take 3% of the money and we just dont want to do it that way. So maybe if it's not to hard maybe we could mail it instead when its all collected. This does mean the world to me. You do not know how much your support means to me. Thank you very much.
