I'm dead set on 2 toning the cool bus. I've been trying to think of ideas, variations, etc on how to do so. I plan on using toyoa BSP paint because i love the flake in it, so PLZ PLZ everyone that enjoys photochopping plz help me come up with some ideas. Here's a few pics to use:

Okay, well here's 1 idea of mine. It's a conventional 2 tone style

Solar Yellow and BSP, CF Hood instead w/ eyelids:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y123/Prototype_xB/711e8b0c.jpg

or

Solar Yellow and BSP still with a CF hood instead w/ eyelids AND a TCM pin strip

I told ya i was a bad photochopper, hehe.

How much base coat and clear coat do you think i need to do this?

1 qt. primer?
1 qt. base?
1 qt. clear?
1 pint base (for pin strip)?

I am doing something very similar to mine. Black and yellow etc. BTW we should get together sometime for a show or something. I still want to make it to a NC meet to see all of your cars first hand.

Well homies, the car's at the paint shop!!!! :):) We picked up paint today: Pearl Black and a Metalic Silver. We're gonna try to have it done before next saturday. Slam Session, a pretty large 3 day car show here in NC is next saturday so we're gonna try to make that. I'll try to post up pics as we come along.

Should look very cool. I'd do the mirrors in BSP though. It will make them less noticeable. The stock mirrors stick out too far if you ask me?

Please, please please tell me you removed the vinyl on the window sills prior to painting. Also, why not shave the rear wiper spray nozzle? And finally, did you remove the spoiler before painting and paint it separately?

You mean the door jams? Ya. I'm painting the silver metalic pin strip on the outside and using silver metalic vinyl in the jams for the stripe, just because, the jams are a pain man.

Did you only wet sand the top portion? And also, any pics of the final job? I am surprised that you don;t have a bunch of crap sticking to your paint in there.

ya only sand what you're going to paint. And no, no trash. The shop is power vented and we kept the floor wet when painting.

Looks good. I hope you welded the wiper hole, then did body filler. Just filler will crack later and fall out, especially if you have a sub in the back.

Suprisingly, I like it alot. I just honestly would have done something a little different, I think that type of two toned paint job is a little cliche. I have a few things in my head but I dont know how easy it is to physically do. But I like!
