^^ the valet key shouldn't have a remote on it.... it should just be a standard key with scion on it.... there should be 2 remote keys and 1 valet key that will do everything except open the glovebox

Thanks for the response. I tried the confirmation codes for the two keyless remote keys and they work. However, I'm looking for the procedure on how to program a new valet key, which is the plain gray key that only has the Scion logo and not the buttons for the remote.

What has to be programmed on it??? I thought you were talking about programming the remotes..... I'm assuming there's a security chip inside the key?

Yes, the valet key, just like the two master keys with the remote buttons, has a chip in it. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to program it. So far, the only instructions I've seen have been for the master keys.

I wouldn't think it'd be any different.... call your dealer...

Well, this is the reason why I made this post; I can reprogram my master keys but not the valet. From where I'm at, the dealer charges $60-$80! Dealers from other states don't charge at all or some may charge only $35-$40.

The post on this site explain only for the master keys, but not the valet key, which is just a plain gray key.

Again, I'm checking out to see if anyone knows the programing procedure for the valet key before I fork up the dough for what should be an inexpensive programing procedure.
