I am just wondering which has the shortest throw. I read the reviews in the and it looks like the RS has the shortest throw. Im just curious how satisfied the XB owners with the RS type short throw shifter are. And where you purchased them from. Sorry if this question has been asked already, I am new to the site and tried to search but did not find anything so I thought why not ask the veterans

I just got a RS type short shifter last week and I'm sort of satisfied with it. The throw is a lot better and the repositioning of the shifter is a lot better but you have to mod it if you want it to feel better than stock. The problem with the RS type shifter is that in the process of replicating the shift housing and what not, they didnt get a good fitment on some of the joints. Without the good fitment you get a lot of slop on the shifter as in moving it from side to side without it actually doing anything. There is two pieces you can take off the stock housing to make the shifter feel tight. The first one is the triangular arm on the left/driver side of the shift housing... and the second is the cap that goes over the ball joint on the actual metal shift rod. Replace the ones on the RS-type with the ones from the stock shifter and you're set. In the end you'll have a green shifting chassis with white pieces on it. With the modified RS-type short shifter, i'm much more satisfied with the product.

I have the TWM Perfomance short shifter in my car and I really enjoy it. A good solid shift, slightly notchy and just the right height. Installation was quite easy as well. Definately a "must have" modification.

I have the TRD short shift, it's pretty nice. IMHO though, all short shift kits are great...except for the RS. No offense to RS owners
