Default Nyc Tc owners!!

Im currently running on the trd springs and im thinking bout changing it to either the s-techs or the h-techs.The trd springs are a good height for New york considering the potholes we have, but im just not happy with the drop. For the ones that know bout the road conditons over here i greatly appreciate if you can help me decide.

I'll take the trd springs from you when you make up your mind.

I've dropped about 8 TC's on S-techs in NY and 1 on H-techs. You're not gonna be happy with the drop of the H-techs. So go with the s-techs.

I live in NY and PA. I have houses in both sates. I'm in NY monday-friday. I goto PA on the weekends. I'm rolling on Progress Tech coilovers with a 3 inch drop and I roll through manhattan to get to PA every week. I've never had a problem bottoming out or scraping. If you've never been this low then you possibly could not know. I speak from experience not from word . He'll like the S-tech better. You might as well stay with the TRD's if you're gonna buy H-techs. Almost the same small drop.

h-techs arent worth getting. if your gonna do something, do it right, and make it very noticeable, not just a lil bit.

munch installed my s-techs, and im sure glad he convinced me into getting s-techs. i was going to get the h-techs, so glad i didnt.

he also installed my s-techs a few weeks ago, and im lovin it.

Well i bottom out Stock on some of the pot holes on w14th street, The E village is a friggen mess, and im not Even dropped yet...

So ?

i also dont understand people telling me the h-techs are not worth it, if i wanted to buy a car, and slam it to the ground, i would of gotten a civic, its just not in my taste. The Htechs, Drop it more then the Trd's do, and "FOR ME" its the perfect look...

Buying a Civic has nothing to do with people wanting to get rid of the ugly@$$ wheel gap that these cars come with from the factory . Maybe you should drive around potholes instead of into them . Manhattan will keep you on your toes when you are driving there. But only the stong survive . With the H-techs you will still have wheel gap just like the TRD springs. So if he wants to get rid of the gap............the the S-techs are the way to go. Not everyone wants to drive a TC tonka truck sorry .

if u r looking to get rid of wheel gap and already have trd's and u want to buy htechs, just keep the trd's. theres really not much of a difference between them (like munch already stated). i would say just go for the stechs and avoid the potholes. u will love the look with the stechs on a tc

and on a side note, munch knows what he talkin about. his tC is insanely low. and the roads where he lives in PA arent that much better then the roads in NY

Nice dude... sorry for going off topic but where in PA are you? I am actually looking into buying a sick house in Reading/shillington/sinking springs area.... I plan on doing almost exactly what you do - mon-thurs nights in the city, then friday nights - sun nites / monday mornings - stay in the PA house.... how is the commute? what area are you in?

I appreciate the info ;]
