Driving with a Cold Air Intake in bad weather
yeah so i was really excited today because i got my injen intake/trd exhaust put in and also my tyc tail lights... and after all was done the weather went from cloudy to SNOWING!... i mean snowing.. and i heard around that driving with an intake and hitting bad weather can mess up the engine.... any ideas? thanks
You don't have anything to worry about, unless the CAI is sucking in water, which it won't if its snowing, or even rainy outside. If you are really concerned tho, you can get a bypass from AEM.
happen to my 03 lancer i had an cold air and ran into a flooded street and it sucked water up and bam no more motor but my insurence paid for a whole new motor 5000 later and all i paid was 100 and then i switched to an short ram and then i just traded the lancer in for the tc
