I think I get it. I think he means how much money did you "throw" down on your xB. You know, like how much did you spend on it? Or at least I think that's what he's gettinig at... hmmmm... :?

I made a down payment with 180 $100 bills and 2 $50 dollar bills and they gave me back $3.42.

I robbed the finance dept. of their commission.

Look closely at the clump-o-green towards the middle. Its $10,500. This pic was taken right after the guy who bought my civic left.

I put 500, and then got raped on the apr cause my short credit history. Dam 12.49 APR. But plan to refinance after 1 year though a credit union. And I had a 723 credit score. But it's only 2 years of credit history.

You got screwed from the finance company. I work at a credit union and make decisions on loans that come through my branch. You should hit up the credit union and not get raked with that rate, even for a year. If you have a 752 you're considered "A" paper, which is really good. After you hit 770 you're considered platinum paper. Really you should head to the credit union asap and refinance your box.

I would, but I already have 5 rejection letters from the first 5 banks they put it through. All say reason for credit denial is Limited credit experience or insufficient credit history. That's cause I only have 2 credit cards on file. One that I have had for 3 and a half years with only a 600 limit and another that i've had for only 8 months with a 2000 dollar limit. I guess that's what I get for hating to have credit cards? And the funny thing is right after I bought the car I applied for for a chase master card. And they approved me for a 3500 limit with 5. something fixed apr.

I only had one year of credit history, and had a score of 695 when I bought my car - was able to get a loan for 3.9% by myself (actually, it was 4.499%, but they deducted .5 if you opt for the payment to be automatically taken out of your account)............

The only credit history I had at that point was a secured visa that I applied for a year earlier - during that year I paind for EVERYTHING with it, and paid it off at the end of each week via my credit unions website. That was it, nothing more.

With that score you should be able to get apprived for just abot anything - you got raped on the APR. Where did you get finanace through?

I have a credit history of 652, 8 open credit cards all with credit on them, a consolidation loan, a mortgage.....and still got approved for two seperate loans for two xB's from two different credit unions at rate of 5.1% and 7.5 %. :)

Wow, Definitely going to have to hit up some credit unions tomorrow :x ! And Capital One auto finance is who gave me the 12.49 apr.

I didn't put a damn thing down, and I got 3.9% APR. It was cool, the dealer said I qualified for top tier credit with Toyota. When I pay my Scion off on time, or even early, I will qualify for 0% APR. That is of course if at the time it is being offered. New GS300, here I come.

I didn't put anything down and qualified for the Toyota sign and drive lease program...My APR is only 2.7% :) Not to mention the suckers even completely paid off my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe I traded in for it!!!

how are you guys findiing out your credit ratings like that? When I bought my first car I had to get a cosigner and I hadn't screwed up my credit at all up to that point .

look up your credit report...i did it after i got my first car (which was a mistake of not knowing right off the bat what your credit rating is)...you can either get it free or pay for it...and if you look it up yourself it doesn't hurt your score :) ...here's some sites that offer the free reports (just remember to cancel after 30 days  )

www.creditexpert.com
www.consumerinfo.com
www.freecreditprofile.com

that's all i remember for now...i can't get any free reports anymore cause i got all of them from these sites already

I can't speak for everyone else, but I was able to obtain a copy of my credit report through the dealership after they ran it...It also helped me going into the dealership to remember my rating from the last car I financed...This new XB is my third new car in the last year, so I'm fairly up to speed on my credit score...

I'm sorry to hear you might be having a hard time financing...
